  1. The theorized damage numbers do not hold try after the release of Beyond Light. Bungie has decided to individually tone down Thorn to keep it more in line with other hand cannons! I'll be revisiting it very soon see how its holding up! 👍👍

  2. The thing with ace is it feels a bit slow in close quarters because of its lack of handling, thorn feels amazing for short to medium range where ace thrives in medium to long ranges, and I’m a dredgen in destiny so using thorn fits my title 👍

In conclusion if you plan on using a sniper, go with thorn, if your using a shotty, use ace.

  3. Never liked Thorn at start.. But now i really like it.. I like its hipfire accuracy and the ability to just annoy opponents… In stuff like 6vs6 its nice just hitting 1 round into an enemy, you dont have to always focus 1 target, you can just shoot anyone here and there and it helps out your team alot and prevents opponents from recovering quickly.. However I did notice that non register bullets sometimes.. I shoot them 1 last time thinking it will finish them but it completely misses or dissapears.. I thought maybe I hit a wall or something Ill have to check out my recordings of these phantom bullets

  4. I’d love to rock either hand cannon but my problem with hand cannons is how when you shot the gun moves left, I always have a hard time connecting shots because of the gun kick plus the recoil always feels so weird but to be fair I haven’t used either one and I’ve only used dire promise

  5. I just prefer Ace of Spades over Thorn. I like the range of Ace. I play with a lightweight frame to counter in close quarters. I don't disagree that Thorn is better even performance-wise, but Ace's agility although worse makes Ace feel better to me because of the high powered shots it pulls off.

  7. Looking back at this, honestly it just comes down to personal preference on this. We've got a large variety of unique, exotic, and powerful handcannons. Ace still currently has the advantage of Orb generation against Thorn…until it eventually gets a catalyst. Maybe in Witch Queen or sometime this season. And I've got an idea for it:

    Thorn catalyst:
    – +30 Range
    – +3 Magazine Size
    – Soul Consumption: When picking up a remnant, you restore some health (20%)

This catalyst idea bumps Thorn's Range from 29.5 meters to 34.5 meters which is on par with Ace. The Remnant health idea would fit perfectly how this gun takes enemies' souls. Thorn also needs more bullets in the mag so this would help.

Maybe sometime a handcannon comparison list but including Eriana's Vow for the purpose of it. They all are special and one is not like the other.

  8. I don't care how good thorn is even though I have the gun Ace of spades is my best friend all the way I felt like the need to let people know and also if you think about going up against me and my Ace? Don't!

  9. Hmm, now I'm just wondering where malfeasance stacks up in this one. Thorn does a lot of damage and Ace has the radar and the buff, but malfeasance has a surefire x amount of shots to kill no matter the range. And Erriana's Vow with the special ammo is bound to hit hard too right?

  10. I'm late to the game and just started playing with both of these. To me thorn feels better and as an exotic I believe it's what the game needs more of. Shoots actual thorns that will go thru multiple targets. Soul devour. Poison ticks. Awesome concept. They need to make more of these kind of weapons in every class ability.
