I got it long time ago and went through a lot of pain getting it. Especially with the last mission. It was the mission after which I've put an end to playing only solo in D2. And now it just costs nothing……

Hold up I’m confused. So if you didn’t get the weapon from the quest you can’t get it? I stopped playing for a while and the last time I played you had to have discovered the weapon to get it from there. But can I just get it?

I had the quest but it was removed and when I went to get it again I noticed there was a “rock slide” blocking my path.
Kinda sad that the thorn quest has been vaulted

Dang that kinda sucks. I was working on the thorn quest and then stopped playing. Just picked up the game again a few days ago and was wondering what happened to all my exotic quest. Well at least I got last word.
