Expunge is the weekly pinnacle mission for Season 14, Season of the Splicer. To access the Expunge missions, you will need to have completed the seasonal quest, Path of the Splicer III. The main objective of the Expunge missions is to collapse domains of the Vex network. This mission is Expunge: Corrupted Tartarus and is accessed from Europa. Like in the normal version, Expunge: Tartarus, in this Corrupted version, you find your way through the Vex network until you encounter a Vex Mind that you must defeat to collapse that domain of the Vex network. In this Corrupted version, however, there are Taken enemies, in addition to the Vex, as well as Taken mines and blast walls that can knock you off the path. The Vex Mind in Expunge: Corrupted Tartarus is a revived version of the Hydra from the normal version, now called Dimio, Oppressive Mind Reborn. There is also a Corrupted Conflux Chest upon completing the mission that requires a Corrupted Key Code, which randomly drops from defeated enemies. The recommended Power level of this Corrupted version is 1300.
