Here is an updated quick guide on how to get the Riskrunner Exotic Submachine in Destiny 2:Beyond Light. The A Spark of Hope quest will also award the Riskrunner catalyst. If you’re a new light player or you’ve been playing for some time, this weapon is worth getting. To begin you’ll need to have completed A Guardian Rises. I also offer recommendations on where to go to unlock the catalyst!

I grabbed the quest from the kiosk, it instantly said mission complete and disappeared. Still don't have the catalyst :/

You Sir, are a bloody Legend and a Scholar! I've been back playing Destiny 2 for the past 6 months (had not played for years) and for the love of god couldn't get this catalyst to drop… until now! Watching this video explained it all and literally replayed through the intro of Destiny 2 (year 1) plus many differences now in Beyond Light… I must say, playing this quest at light level of 1335 is a bloody blast hahaha 😛
I calmed the quest but it’s not in my log.
