I don't think our guardian will turn evil but a guardian will turn evil. It might be a new character or an old.
Dark or light it doesn't matter what matters are what you do with the power
The finale of destiny should be us choosing between the light or the dark. Its like after all we've been through we choose our and humanity's destiny

I think it would be cool if we ended up ditching both the light and darkness and somehow merge with siva once we find a way to control it for purposes of good (maybe a storyline with rasputin helping us do this). It would give totally new abilities and possibly the option to reanimate ourselves when we get killed 😆

Ah yes destiny 2 and needing to buys doc's to get more lore about the destiny universe. What I'm saying is im poor and couldn't buy the beyond light dlc and hated the subclass that came with it because of it

Just an odd interpretation, but I first thought when hearing awe about lightfall wall thinking about a hammer falling onto a nail. Perhaps it's not the fall of light, but instead, the force of light?

I wonder if we'll get a graphics upgrade in Lightfall? I mean the game looks great I play it every day of my life but I feel like the game could look closer to those CGI movies, well at least closer on these next-gen systems 😉

There is another fact to consider – most corruption cases had a middleman involved: Dredgen Yor was corrupted by the darkness in the hands of Hive, Uldren was corrupted by the Ahamkara using darkness. Given the earlier lore I still believe that the Darkness is not a negative force just like the Light is not positive. Both are neutral. Light is more wayward and Darkness doesn’t want to destroy the light but bring everything back to the primal state of the universe – the garden. Everything in the universe is a byproduct of an accident to the Darkness which can be destroyed in a way to maintain the order of the Garden. On top of that, Hive seems to be abusing the Darkness in a way (Arrivals) and Darkness is trying to communicate with us directly while the hive is trying to stop that.

I wish we got to see more of the corruption that everyone keeps talking about from the pyramids and stasis, because as an aspiring writer I feel like that’s a department of the story that Bungie is lacking in and not doing particularly well. Just as an idea, maybe we can get a mission or 2 where we actually experience that corruption for ourselves. Where our screens get darker around the edges, we hear whispers from the pyramids feeding into our darkest desires using familiar voices, and we have a choice of either giving in or fighting it. But that’s just an idea, as there are probably better ways to do it.
Bruh you know the Darkness gave us a powerful weapon when Bungie had to come in and nerf it

3:42 he didn’t leave his ghost. His ghost left him. Thar must mean he did some terrible shit for his own ghost which is technically part of his soul to leave him.
I highly doubt it since there is plenty of lore and hints that the Ziggurats and the Traveler will make some new “shape”, which for me implies them fusing or finding a harmonic cohesiveness.
erimas was not changed with her vaules its was har anger and desire that made her what she is. and uldran was guided by blind desire. stuborn will with blind desire is what corrupts and causes of destruction. sicne if one listens to all about variks and his information about ermis you there uncover that eramis allready was filled with desire befor she was filled with darkness. and uldran was lead by his blind desire to free his sister. darkness and light them self are just tools, if its good or bad outcome depends on its users. to bright area will burn everything in its light. to dark and everything freeze to death. the choice comes with it responsibility on how it is used. and to balance the use of light and dark to prevent existingtion with too much.
I'm totally happy to go to the Darkside and kill the traveler.
I mean, even in the lore its stated that the darkness and light lived in peace, but the light was the one who overstepped. Maybe it making us guardians is just it's attempt to defend itself from a fight it started, not necessarily a selfless act.
The Dark side is like a Sickness no one would ever want to be cured of.

Destiny should honestly take that path. Where guardians can choose to stay with the light or become evil. The pvp would be so intense.
Perhaps Light Fall does not refer to the guardian or even the traveler but perhaps it relates to our current ally’s. Now what if the expansion is all about the corruption of our friends. As the darkness itself as stated in the lore desires a champion. Perhaps it corrupts humanity as a whole and in doing so the Light that is the last city falls.

I will never intentionally become evil, I'm more likely to intend to do good and it be bad unintentionally. the other option is losing my ghost and going into a blind rage trying to fix things in the the Order of Things. you trying to have peace with most of the races if I can and if not just letting it be the way it is well-stumbling tiring back to the dreaming City for the rest of my days until told otherwise.
Would love to see darkness as a power! Some poison sub class's would be cool give me more resien to use my thorn cannon .. Darkside powers are all ways the coolest.
What I'm concerned about is that Mithrax is supposedly the Kell of the 'House of Light' and yet he is going to gift us stasis weapons? You'd think he'd avoid stasis like the plague since it is directly linked to the darkness. Something fishy there in my opinion.

The thing about Light and Darkness, you cannot have one without the other. Yes, darkness corrupts and such, but it is only because you allow it to feed on your darkest emotions, it is what happened to Ana and Eris in the Dark Future, they allowed the darkness to corrupt them. It is only after Elizabeth's training that we can understand darkness little by little and not let it control us easily. The line between Light and Dark is so very thin, but you must never be afraid of crossing that line, just as long as you do not let your obsession control you.
