The lament is an exotic sword introduced with beyond light. The unique perk allows the sword to break through shields. So far This weapon is shaping up to be a top-tier endgame weapon due to the sheer amount of damage that can be outputted with a light-heavy combo.
Overall this is a very strong PvE weapon and I can see it being used for a variety of encounters. The built-in shield piercing and massive damage potential make this weapon a top tier pick. So definitely go after this weapon.
