  1. I agree to your fist roll, smallbore, range and combat grip. Honestly on controller this gun feels great woth this perks bit 120 makes them feel like they have no place.

  2. Smallbore is now officially the Ricochet Rounds (BiS) of the barrel options. I'm on xbox have a smallbore/RF/heavy grip roll and have over 3,000 kills on it. Crispiest most accurate and rewarding hand cannon I've ever used…also been maining Bottom Tree Goldie to counter stasis and I love the added stability Knockem Down gives me. I just feel cheesy using Revenant outside of Trials but that's just me. Thanks for the vid I've been waiting for something like this!

  3. I disagree on combat grip. Yes, having vertical recoil is important. No one can deny that. However, combat grip doesn't really show an advantage over heavy grip until the back half of the magazine. If this was an auto rifle or an SMG, then I'd probably agree with you, but this is a hand cannon. You're not going to be dumping the entire mag all at once with a hand cannon, especially when you're really taking care to hit all your crits. To that end, I still prefer heavy grip. Combat grip is definitely more enticing than I expected, I will give it that.

  4. As a controller player, the roll im shooting for is Chambered Compensator, Opening Shot and Smooth Grip. I started by looking at Lumina and Rose and wondered why they felt so crisp on controllers and I noticed they both have Chambered Compensator, Accurized Rounds and Polymer Grip. Accurized Rounds is off the table because Alloy Mag is static on all Hawkmoons but the Catalyst sort of handles that after you land a shot. So I'm opting for Opening Shot to essentially make the Catalyst active at all times and the Catalyst also gives Handling so I opt for Smooth Grip so I'm at least not in the red due to Chambered Compensator. I got one with Chambered Compensator and love how it feels so I think I'm on the right track

  5. Hawkmoon seems like a dream scenario for a weapon designer. Mutliple options for players to choose from & they all feel powerful enough to warrant arguing with your friends over who has the best roll.

  6. OK cone daddy here me out. SmallBore+Eye of the storm+Heavy Grip for controller. So a total of 63 range, 82 stability and 65 handling. Youre probably thinking "nah I want 100 recoil direction and that handling is to low, random youtube comment guy". Let me explain why you dont need 100 recoil, hear me out please. The aim assist cone is why you dont need it. Hawkmoon has a base aim assist of 93, super duper high. What does aim assist do if youre on controller? Makes the gun stick to your target! Not only that, it pulls the bullet into the hitbox. (does this too with m&k but I digress.)
A hand cannon becomes less sticky the more you shoot it. The reason why is the aim assist cone. It gets weaker the more you pull the trigger. However! With my suggested roll, you have 82 stability. And I dont have to tell the cone daddy what stability does to the aim assist cone. Also little known fact, 86 stability is the sweet spot for hand cannons. Anything more and you get less in return. (credit Coolguy for finding this)
But wait, theres more! The Hawkmoon catalyst gives range after each headshot. What does range do to the accuracy and aim assist cone? Makes them stronger and better! Better aim assist and accuracy effectiveness after every headshot.
ok, Im almost done! Eye of the storm and heavy grip are two peas in a pod. EOTS resets bloom and makes your cone(yeah I said it) reset as well. AND IT BOOSTS YOUR HANDLING! Thats right, EOTS gives handling! Now if you look at heavy Grip, it takes away handling and gives stability. EOTS makes up for that loss of handling.
Now after reading all of this, do you still want 100 recoil direction? I bet you said yes. Pepehands

    TSDR(Titan so didn't read)
Hawkmoon is a great gun, use it if you likey hand cannons

  7. Could you not go for Chambered Compensator to get the 100 recoil direction and some stability, while still having the grip open to Smooth/Heavy grip? You would lose like 1 meter of range compared to Smallbore but you'd have loads of stability

  8. Thanks for the great video. Please could you look into hipfire grip in the next video as I really like hip firing in pvp on console as otherwise it is very hard tracking jumping hunters. However, everyone else has dismissed it as the worst perk without really breaking down why. Thanks buddy

  9. What about Ext. Barrel + Smooth Grip? Only 1 Less stab than your ideal roll, and 5 less handling, still have 100 recoil, and 67 range, with less overall wasted stats than combat grip. Thoughts?
