Destiny 2 Beyond Light – Solo Harbinger Mission Completion / Hawkmoon Catalyst & Random Rolls Rewards + Triumphs Completions / How To Complete Harbinger Mission / Where To Go in Birds of Prey Exotic Quest. Just a video showing my first clear through the new Harbinger mission solo. This rewards you with the Hawkmoon random rolls, the Hawkmoon catalyst, and a few triumphs along the way. There’s also triumphs for solo clears and solo flawless, which I’ll do shortly.

This ended up being a little tougher than I originally thought. Figured it was just going to be another mission, but it actually has some difficulty to it. More akin to the Whisper / Zero Hour missions, although there’s no time pressure. I died twice while messing with loadouts, the first in the Reservoir area as I had nothing to deal with everything properly. The second time in the final boss room as I played too risky. Fun mission though, a nice surprise. I cut those out for the sake of trying to keep the video shorter, as it’s already very long.

  1. This was one of the hardest things I've ever done in destiny, and tbh I almost have up getting it. I had to run 6 shot hunter w/ hard light, grenade launcher and scout rifle. Took me hours

  2. I got to the boss and then couldn't fucking get the boss lower than a third of his health before dying. The boss fight on this one is awful. Hiding in the back trying not to die is no fun. Everything else took time but was not too bad.

  3. Here's a hint that carried me:
Use Anarchy on the final boss. 2, then 2 more when they run out on the boss will take a bar down. Personally, I used a seventh strap carbine and blinding nade Truthteller for the ads, just make sure you have solar and void as well to deal with them.

  4. Did that with a buddy last night. it still took us a little overt 1 hour, mostly trying to figure out where to go. We also died quite a few times, especially at the boss with all the snipers (survive spot). Would not even dare to solo it.

  5. Just managed to do this solo flawless after many practice runs. On an early run, I got the final Knight boss in the last room down to less than 1 Xenophage shot's worth of health, got stuck on a rock, and he flame-roared me into toast. Very frustrating rofl.

  6. I can't clear the Survive area. I was about one death away from putting my fist through the screen before I decided to quit. Those Taken snipers are some of the most operpowered things I've ever seen. This is fucking cheesy, and I'm sick of champions

  7. I think it's a good thing that endgame activities like master and grand master nightfalls or exotics missions are actually difficult. It makes it rewarding to complete, not like lower level activities that can be rushed through with any dumb build.

However teams and solo players should not be playing on the same level of difficulty. Either it will be crazy hard for solo, or it will be too easy for teams. Things should be balanced, maybe lower power level when solo, or less enemies, or less boss health. Maybe a mix of all. I would just keep the same mission modifiers, but tune the rest down a notch for solo.

Overall destiny is punishing you for playing solo:
    – Raid mechanics makes it impossible to complete them alone, which means no access to raid weapons that are usually amongst the best
    – No access to trials if solo (no match making), which means also no access to trial weapons or armor which once again are amongst the best you can find.

And yes I know, LFG is a thing, but to be honest i don't think a game like destiny should rely on third party sites/tchat, matchmaking should just be a thing for any activity. Playing with random players would already enough of a disadvantage compared to playing with your own team, so i don't think it would break anything.

Since i am here: would also be nice to have more means of damage mitigation to play more tanky/agressive builds. At the moment endgame basically forces you to hide and peek, play long range, keep distances from enemies. As a titan main, with so many subclasses revolving around punching things, it feels rather limiting… I had the same issue with some hunter/warlocks build. Endgame just forces a certain play-style at the moment, which makes lot of subclass abilities/exotics/builds irrelevant. A proper endgame should allow you to use all the tools the game gives you, not force you to play a niche of builds.

  8. Attempted to do this solo. Couldn't get past the "Survive" part of the mission. Ended up rage quitting the mission & deleted the quest. Not worth my time. I don't have the patience for this shit.

  9. I've gotten stuck on the second part of boss after taking down the three mini bosses.

I always get overwhelmed and since I am doing it solo, after three hours trying and 107 deaths i gave up and totally quit the game.

Really can't be bothered if I can't even do that lol
