In today’s Destiny 2 Beyond Light video, we are covering the New Warlock Stasis Subclass Shadebinder. This New Subclass is incredibly powerful and is only made more powerful by fragments and aspects. I’ll cover how to unlock fragments and aspects as well as how they affect your subclass. I’ll also cover the other abilities of Shadebinder and how they synergize all together to make this the Best Subclass in Destiny 2!

  1. Sounds like you want shadbinder to get the nova warp treatment killing the class. Gotta love when the only viable options for warlock is top tree dawn or top tree stormcaller with bottom tier out of the other classes top tree voidwalker.

  2. Shadebinder with the aspect is without a doubt good. I don’t think I’m very good at crucible but my first game with the subclass got me 30 eliminations and a 5 guardian elim spree with very minimal effort. I froze a guy with a melee and then killed him to spread another seeking frozen projectile that froze another and the chain just kept goin and all I needed to do was swap weapons because I needed to reload my shotgun eventually.

  3. Why can’t bungie make subclasses act differently in pve and pvp? They should be very even in pvp. Make some adjustments. It in pve it’s not a big deal. More power the better

  4. Haven't taken it into PvP (not a PvP player) but I am loving it in PvE. The subclass being so unbalanced though is just another reason why the game needs to split the PvE and PvP sandboxes so they can be balanced separately to avoid one side of the game ruining the other. I worry that my main character's shiny new subclass will be made useless in PvE just because people are complaining about it in PvP.

  5. The more I play it and against it I have learned it’s weaknesses. The melee is slow and you have to be on target. My guess is the splash is going to get nerfed making it a direct hit.

  6. Sandbox is the nicest it’s been in the history of destiny as far as I can remember, however nobody will notice it because of the freeze heavy abilities that can be spammed everywhere with as much tracking and aggressiveness of a colony GL 😕

  7. I don't mind fighting the shadebinder I'm a warlock void tree main (my play style) I tried the new class and I hate the mechanics of CC. I understand for lower skilled players it's great but I just want destruction.

  8. as a nova warp main i personally really like this class, the melee might need to be changed a bit but the super itself is good but not op like people say. Its pretty slow and takes time getting kills unlike dawnblade.

  9. I don't think its OP as such, you still have to get kills when opponents are frozen. If they are near team mates the pressure is on.

Also the super from my experience so far gets outdone by the titan stasis super 4/5 times, especially if you dont see them coming, ie they come around the side or back.

Titan is much faster and in your face, its definitely the strongest stasis super, if anything that needs a nerf to be slowed down and not last as long.

Lastly the super still takes skill to execute as you have to land the shot then perform the blast to kill. This does not one shot other supers from what I have seen, especially the ones with movement advantages.

Lets enjoy it all while it lasts 🙂

  10. 🔴 To everyone saying make the Warlock melee slow this wouldnt work:
Hunters can do this with two charges eventually freezing you which would make the Warlocks melee a simply worse version if it. The problem aint directly the melee, its the Stasis freezing that needs to be dealt with by cutting down "time stuck" and "break-out damage". The super is honestly fine. It needs to one hit kill for sure and the range is exactly where it needs to be. Im happy we Warlocks have a good super. About god damn time. 🔴

  11. I agree shadebinder is strong but I'm not so sure about overpowered, the movement and speed are no that good. I think the new stasis subclasses are pretty good, it's probably the most effective way of balancing the game without nerfing weapons and subclasses to death.

  12. The tracking freeze effect can be easily avoided by jumping off the ground. It is also broken by hunter dodges.
Not sure if Titan stasis shield does anything good but I think it SHOULD make them immune to being frozen.
And there it is, Shadebinder no longer overpowered in PvP and it is already pretty bad in PvE.
It's fun to watch trash mobs die in chorus of ice explosions but Champions and other tough enemies laugh at the Shadebinders.

  13. Honestly, ppl need to give it time over asking for the ban hammer already. If you nerf the super, it will literally be nova warp 2.0. Imo, it's not the warlock that is busted but how stasis works in general and personally, I havent found it as annoying as I initially thought.

  14. I might be insane but outside of Supers I don't think getting frozen should be a thing in PVP. Chilling, slowing, and/or suppressing guardians with stasis abilities instead of freezing them would be much better balanced imo.

  15. See this "Broken" in the title is gonna make bungie jump the gun and start nerfi g stuff due to the fact every destiny 2 touruber who finds something stro g titles it as "BROKEN" its a terrible trend

  16. Honestly imo it’s quite alright. The only problem is the right click being able to pass through walls and the cd between the left click and right click time just destroys everything(even a bubbled Titan).
It takes time to get used to new stasis. The longer you play the more you’ll get used to it

  17. It’s the worst thing ever to happen to PvP In both D1 and D2, I actually can’t believe I’m about to stop playing this as it’s just pointless with all the freezing and warlocks running about. I even was looking forward to playing D2 on my Ps5 when I get but not going to bother downloading it now.

  18. I play mostly pvp. Been playing as hunter main for almost a year. Played Beyond Light crucible for a few hours the first day, cried…am now a Warlock main. Ggs.
In all seriousness though playing stasis Hunter in crucible rn feels BAD. My melee doesn’t freeze and it takes four to kill…it slows but who cares bc I’m frozen and shattered.
I like the xpac though warlock has been fun

  19. What's the point of making a subclass to sell it and then nerf it to the ground….
Sometimes i wonder if the guys who come up with these class ideas don't think straight. After nerf it will be unusable cos there's no other way to balance this….

But yeah keep a certain hunter subclass broken for 2years on
