In this video, I show you how to save exotic engrams in your postmaster that you get from the prismatic recaster. Using umbral engrams and the Umbral Enhancement II perk to get exotic engrams from unfocused umbrals. If you have a full 10 engrams when you do this, it will go straight to your postmaster! This is a great passive exotic farm to prep for Beyond Light.

Started figuring this out last week when I got 3 Exotic umbral drops on my Titan and they were all bad ones I didn't want. I haven't seen this covered on YouTube, so I wanted to share this strategy for keeping exotics in your postmaster for Beyond Light!

How many umbrals did you open with zero exotic engram drops? It's a tough call to forego chances at god rolled weapons for a super low chance at exotic engrams.
I'm almost 100% sure Bungie already changed the way exotics engrams work between seasons, it will only give exotics from the seasons you found it in. Meaning this is a waste of time.

Found this out and literally got an exotic on my 3rd try, thanks a ton! If the loot pool includes new world drops, I now have 3 new exotics to play with on my hunter, and maybe 1 for my titan! If this doesn’t deserve a sub, I don’t know what does

Unfortunately, this won't wort for the new season. Bungie posted new info about this just recently and said that engrams will give equipment from the season you got them and before, not after.

Thanks for the tip! Also the prestige EOW raid has a chance to drop exotic engrams from the jumping puzzle chest. Can farm on all three classes each week to get them in your physical inventory as well. Less chance for them to be wiped out as with the vault.
Ehhhh how are these going to be decrypted if all that stuff goes away with the new season?

They alrdy said that when u get an exotic from this season u will get the exotic from this season lootpool. So if u store an exotic now, u wont get a new exotic from BL.

Um maybe I'm wrong but when u save the exotic for the next season u still well get the same ones from last season and season before destiny fixed that
