Necrotic Grip + Thorn = Absurdly fun times and INSANELY good crowd control in Destiny 2 Season of the Hunt gameplay. The Necrotic Grip exotic can lead to great warlock builds in beyond light especially when paired up with the Thorn. Subclasses such as bottom tree Voidwalker (with devour) and top tree Dawnblade both have amazing ad clear for nearly all content in PvE, and beacuase of that, I’M MAKING A “build” video on it!

I love this exotic. I haven't had this much fun using something in Destiny 2 in quite a long time. ESPECIALLY on a warlock, cause warlocks are typically boring to play for me. I hope this video was somewhat helpful! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'll answer unless i'm at work

Also you don't have to have a melee charge to activate the poison! Any melee works. And unless I was doing something wrong, the poison aoe only works on a Thorn final blow. It didn't seem to activate when I got a kill with Thorn's poison

You don’t even need high strength cause the poison procs on uncharged melees too!
Best exotic. This is the build how an exotic must interract with eachother.
And at the same time next years dark subclass maybe poison
Lemonarc DoT works with Dawn Chorus, as does Jotuun DoT. I'm really digging both new Warlock exotic armors. Necros goes with my Stasis and top tree solar builds, and Dawn Chorus is solid for bottom tree solar with a Warmind cell build.
Dawn Chorus with SS Officer's Revolver, Eriana's Vow plus Warmind cell mods is absolutely S tier, capable of tackling all content without any load out changes.

As a former Hunter main, I'm sad to say it but Warlock won me over for many reasons. All hunters have that's worthwhile is invisibility.
8 months later and still helpful
Heres a fun one with thorn+sunbracers. Use heat rises perk with grenade and hover above trash mobs/major mobs shoot with thorn and sustain heat rises use melee to replenish grenade to further heat rises. When midair with thorn the soul devourer effect with fly towards you in sky so thereatoricaly you can have infinite souls and be above ground with infinite grenades too:)
