We reviewed Hawkmoon the other day with the perks Rangefinder & Killing Wind. However, I found that those rolls didn’t satisfy me. Today we’ll be looking at Hawkmoon’s other perks, comparing them, and concluding which ones are the best.

When i got my hawkmoons. I got almost the exact same rolls except 1 column in both. I got opening shot and moving target
Cross plz stop playing destiny till bungie do something they don’t listen to people maybe their content creators leaving will get through their thick heads
For me I think rangefinder is the play I rather have all my shots hit full damage instead of just one. Plus the zoom in factor doesn't really impact me.
For ancient gospel I got rapid hit firefly yay

Ive had a killing wind one and idk why does moving target feels a lot better for me. I started to use it since illPysics tried it and said it felt good and for me it feels a lot better for me as a controller user. He was using it on m&kb.
Wish I could show you my god roll.. Polygonal Rifling, Alloy Mag (of course), opening shot, and heavy grip. 57 range, and 85 stability with the range boost from opening shot and paracausal charges.
Had a killing wind with extended barrel and a surplus hammer forged barrel, gotta say surplus just feels more consistent in PvE and the range doesn’t feel like an issue
Cross a buddy of mine told me it’s 2x nightfall rewards plus 2x for plat so 4x rewards.

IMO surplus and killing wind are underrated god rolls as killing wind stacks with the catalyst and surplus is just a S tier overlooked perk on just about any gun. The benefit it gives when it procs is insane.
I think of surplus as a portable dragon shadow with an addition bonus to stability. Don’t like it on hawk moon but I love it on other weapons. As for eye of the storm it is my favorite perk on trustee, so I would figure it should be good on the handcannon.
I still don't have the quest is telling me that is appear on my map but it's not there this is so frustrating I want my money back

I have a steady rounds, rapid hit, and rangefinder ancient gospel and I love it. Hopefully reset tomorrow brings an opening shot hawkmoon!

Totally agree, Opening Shot is great on this cannon.
Fluted Barrel + Opening Shot + Textured Grip = Max Handling. Great roll, love it a lot.
My first roll was chambered compensator, opening shot, and heavy grip. Probably way too much stability but I swear I don't have to do any recoil management on that thing. Pretty nice. The catalyst should help with my lower handling too.
Can you not do raid shadow legends sponsorships
A lot of ppl say the feeling lucky ornament is ugly af but honestly I don’t see it. It makes it look like that whole Mandalorian space cowboy aesthetic! PEW PEW BOYS!
I usually like Eye of the Storm, I have it on my Austringer and it's an amazing dueling perk. That being said I'm inclined to agree with Cross on this one and prefer Opening Shot because it really does synergize so well with that high paracausal shot perk. I also tend to derp out and miss the shots I really wanna land.
Wondering if Surplus will work well for PC/controller like myself. It turns the crucible pulse into a laser.
When you have the best perks and still suck with hand Cannons
I’ve only had surplus (5) and opening shot (1) out of my 6 drops but, opening shot is definitely the best. Just wish my barrel was more focused on range. That’s what I’ll be grinding for.
Ok, final call: max range OS or max range RF?
I have opening shot. It feels incredibly consistent due to paracausal stacks. The first shot feels like shooting a big ass magnet that goes where it needs to rather than where you're aiming.

Opening shot is just the best perk for this gun in PvP. It synergizes so much. You get extra range for first shot then the catalyst kicks in and you get more range and then opening shot is perfect for getting the 1-tap. It's so good
Surplus is more noticeable on pulse rifles. But I do agree that Opening Shot is really solid for Hawkmoon. I have one and there is a big difference.
