Hand cannons are one of the most popular primary weapon types in Destiny, especially for PVP. In this video, we will go over and rank all of the exotic hand cannons in Destiny 2.

First off The Thorn. One of the most infamous weapons from destiny 1. The thorn was reintroduced during the season of the drifter though an exotic quest, but can now be obtained from the Exotic Kiosk in the tower. Starting off with the stats this is a 140, Kinetic with a magazine of 11. The main disadvantages here are the high recoil and slow reload but with the right mods, this isn’t much of a problem.

The exotic perk, Mark of the Devourer. Rounds deal damage over time and Kill with this weapon leave behind Remnants. Now remnants are these green obs that drop on kills. The other perk Soul Devourer allows you to Absorb Remnants this will strengthen Mark of the Devourer and partially refill the magazine. Thorn is a consistent and deadly exotic hand cannon in PVP. With soul devour active, it can 2 tap guardians!

  1. I'm having trouble deciding between getting Ace or Thorn. I play on PS4 and I play a mix of everything, I want a hand cannon that I can take anywhere. Please give me any advice. I'm leaning towards Ace because I like range.

  2. Great Tier list, however, as someone who missed on Eriana's Vow from the season pass I just got it through purchase. The catalyst is now obtainable by visiting Banshe-44 after unlocking it so they made it easier now and I feel that may help people who may not want to farm to unlock a catalyst, this one is free.
