The Exo stranger.. Although some of her secrets have been revealed back in beyond light like her true name and creation.. Other mysteries still linger. The biggest one has to be who she was talking to on Venus back in that Destiny 1 cutscene.. Today we are going to speculate a bit further and discuss whether the Humans of Neomuna were on the other end of that transmission.

  1. OK so the thing that gets me is how she says “a side must be chosen even if it’s the wrong side” I’ve been skeptical of the traveler and the speaker since day one, and the red war furthered my suspicions when the speaker said “it’s never spoken to him”

  2. I really like this idea of our future self trying one last time to defeat the darkness by going sending the stranger into the past and helping us get on the right path something we may have not done in that other timeline in hopes to reshape the future.

  3. What if she was taking to Efrideet and the pacifist guardians? I don't see how it would make sense, other than they don't want to fight and she could help them, but why would she be with them in the first place?

  4. The question with Pouka is we don't know when Elsie found Tokki and the Pouka. Quicksilver and Speed Metal, at the very least, HAVE to be before "Beyond Light", since Speed Metal details her first meeting with Pouka, and Quicksilver was likely afterwards, with the weapon itself being found where they found Pouka.

But when this event took place could be any time before the beginning of Destiny 1, or between her appearance in Destiny 1 and in Beyond Light. If the person on the comm turns out to be Neomunan (or even a Cloud Strider), then it'd be before Destiny 1's beginning.

  5. Notice how the strangers plan to stop eramis has led to the witness reaching out to her. I bet if eramis hadn’t been frozen and if we didn’t stop her, she wouldn’t have joined the witness. Most likely attacked it using stasis to protect the eliksni. The stranger is suspicious and is probably moving events in our timeline in her favor for an end where she is in control… 👀👀👀 her timeline didn’t end well considering she dies in most others. The black heart didn’t do much either considering the darkness is still here and so are the vex. She could’ve misled us 👀

  6. I'm kinda thinking she was talking to the Europan refugees and Banshee which seems to be her original timeline. The Bray labs on Europa with Clovis and Elsie became quantum leap meets groundhog day. It's very likely that Elsie was keeping in touch with her group she attempted to shelter from the Vex and Clovis' madness. The key to me seems to be her rifle. The lore associated with it seems to indicate the rifle itself is the thing that doesn't change because we also see Clovis taking it from a dead version of Elsie who didn't survive the Vex assault.

  7. While it has decent odds that the exo stranger found the pouka and quicksilver relatively recently (especially since technically everything we've done as the guardian is recent in the vast expanse of D2 history) she should have found them between our first meeting and the events of beyond light so shes definitely had some time to explore but she had no clue of anyone past the point of the golden age using tech that far surpassed it, so I wouldn't say she knew of neomunas existence at least till after we first met her in the og campaign.

  8. It’s still so funny to this day everytime a new dlc drops with major characters people flock to the Exo stranger on who she was conversing with during D1
