The Strike Playlist doesn't give "Powerful Gear" as a reward for the three completions with a matching Subclass. They give "Pinnacle Gear". The same with the three Gambit match completions. There is a difference. Don't confuse your viewer base.

New player here, when should I use the upgrade modules? Got a set of load out with decent stats at 1200. Right now I’m just using whatever has the highest power level but they are not very good.

Most of the clan I play with is around 1220-1225 so next week we should be at the hard cap atleast or extremely close
I mean im soft capped at 1206 and im glad i did it in 6 days but these dudes hitting 1265 thats self destructive due to time restraints

Thank you for this video. When I reach 1200, I know what to do. For everybody, he is saying that you have 8 pieces that determine to your powerscore. They make up an average. Let's say 1201 as said in the video. If each piece where 1201, it would be +0. If two where 1204(with same average), they would be +3 each. Combined +6. Just stick to gearscores close to your average lightpower to get drops in your favor. You might not have the highest average powerscore equiped but it steadily get you loot wich will lead to an higher one. Equipping a powerful and huge chest armor may not be the smart choice if it leads to +10. 5:32 he says +6 is optimal. Keep your gear scores together to make to most of your two lootdrops of +3.
Anyone else just put on the higher gear when it’s higher than the current gear that’s equipped? 😅😅

I have three Guardians right now that I have gotten all of them to over 12:18 grinding all three of my characters in story mode and getting their secondary grenade and all their shards I even have the Exotic rocket launcher so I played my ass off all three of my characters and I use one to level up the other two so as soon as I come in I'm already a higher level than everything I got a face so it's a lot faster that's the way I've been doing this is Destiny vanilla
This is insane! But when ya mentioned his name, I was like, of course! And ya still have to get lucky, so it’s sometimes odd to me how he always get lucky.

Thank you for the advice. It's really effective. When trying to power level multiple characters, it's easy to get the gear you need to boost your power level on the characters you are trying to catch up with.
When you said you get high gauntlets twice in a row if you go for the powerful gear without doing the 8+. literally what happened to me lol

Do I have to equip this gear to count, or it's enough that it's in my character's inventory (not in the vault). For example I have a legendary 1201 helmet, but I get a blue 1203 helmet (with worse stats btw) . Do I have to equip this blue helmet on my character ? Please answer.
