In the boss room there will be a random yellow bar harpy that will give the the blade pieces. I got it from it and my 2 friends got it from it. As long as all of you get damage on it it will drop it for everyone.
The lament = when a RAM stick and a pickaxe have a baby

That thing with the fragment is completely wrong. In the boss fight, a special harpy spawns that drops it.
What is the hand gun I keep seeing him use?
The broken blade part will be awarded after an awakened harpy is killed in the boss room of “The Glassway” strike and should be awarded to all members of the fire team who are at that stage of the quest once kill.
If your stuck on the the exo challenge/ Variks don’t have the mission for you. Do the Simulation Survival: Bray Exoscience. Then the next step should pop up once completed to “Vex defeated with finisher”.

Just a heads up the sword piece drops from the transcendent harpy that spawns at the boss fight, it has nothing to do with powerful enemies.
The blade price is dropped by a special harpy that spawns with the boss in the final room
Save yourself some time. Third exo is in the bray tech facility in the room before the one you take to get to the new area with the giant exo.
Getting slower and slower as you streams. Sad days. Even the bungie pod cast had this out before you. As well as most players actually getting the quest finished

Not sure it'll help, but gonna post it and see if anyone got theirs just like mine.
For The Glassway strike step, in the boss room, there's a Orange/Yellow Bar (i forgot, srry >A<) Transcendent Harpy spawned, for my experience it nvr spawned be4 in the strike. After I kill it it drops the broken blade pieces.

What if I accidentally completed the “old secrets new challenges” before killing the 100 vex part? Will it still count?
My finisher step won’t fill
I can't acquire the "Old Secrets, New Challenges" Quest and I don't know what he means by "All the different Verics missions…" There are only Empire Hunts, Sabotage and Bounty quest that I can acquire. Does he mean that I have to complete all Sabotage quests first?

I’m stuck at step 5. Did the mission before I had the sword quest.
Quick tip, there is a special harpy at the end of the glassway that you need to kill to get the lament pieces.
So I did the exo challenge and it didn’t update the quest lol good job bungie
Or head to the big vex gate on the moon; it allows you to complete the vex finisher in one place without needing to go back and forth
I’m so happy we finally have AI fight with us. I’ve always wanted Zavala, Ikora, Satint-14, etc to fight with us in mission

I think you get the part in the strike from killing the “Transcendent Harpy” that spawns at the end. That’s how I got it and it only spawns if you have that part of the quest

2 things.
1: who the hell actually needs this mission explained to them. It took me like an hr or two and I suck.
2: how the fuck did Khakis manage to make a ten minute video about it. Hr could have just said "get the mission at banshee and then follow steps. Done
In the Bunker 15 lost sector, the chest no dropped blueprint for me… and I have the quest at this step.
The quest is bugged for me. It won’t drop a blueprint when I open the E-15 lost sector chest :/
