“Rising Resistance” is the third mission of the Beyond Light Campaign and the forty-first Story mission of Destiny 2. Realizing that Europa is no longer safe for his people, Variks asks The Guardian to establish a communication network.

A Link to the Future is the fourth Story Mission from the Beyond Light expansion.
After the cutscene, talk to the Exo Stranger to start the next quest. Summon the sparrow and follow the quest marker to the dark Ziggurat. Attune your Splinter of Darkness with the seal. Your next goal is to go to the Nexus. To find it, just go to the Charon’s Crossing and take the right path to the cave. The Crux of Darkness is right at the beginning, so just interact with it. This will empower you with Stasis, which you can immediately test as you will be swarmed by Goblins, Hobgoblins, Minotaur, and Finalizers. The wave will end once you defeat the Hydra, so go to the Crux and end the communion. Go left and follow the path deeper into the cave to search for a locked chest. Unseal some doors and inside one of them there’s a chest which will give you an Aged Armor. Go back to Charon’s Crossing and talk to Variks to complete the mission.

Eramis, the Kell of Darkness, has occupied Europa with her Fallen army and Guardians must respond. Travel to Jupiter’s frozen moon, hunt down Eramis, and prepare to wield the Darkness. Guardians have always been warriors of the Light. In Beyond Light, for the first time, Guardians harness the power of Darkness with a new elemental power: Stasis. Cold, dark, and alluring – the power of Stasis beckons you. Command this new elemental power with brand new Guardian subclasses. Control the fight, seize your enemies in an icy grip, and shatter them where they stand. The frozen frontier of Europa holds many lost secrets from the past, including a new dark elemental power: Stasis. Work with the mysterious Exo Stranger to harness this new power before Eramis, the Kell of Darkness, bestows it on her Fallen forces. Grow your arsenal, command Stasis, and go beyond the Light. A desolate wasteland where every gust of frozen wind whispers long-lost secrets and further buries the mysteries beneath your feet. You arrive on the heels of a dark empire that grows in power. Stand against the blizzard and press on, Guardian. Eramis must be stopped.

A growing divide echoes in our collective unconscious. Precious gifts bestowed by the Traveler. Unspeakable evil brought forth by the Pyramids. As division spreads and distrust grows between alliances long thought unbreakable, the truths we hold dear will be questioned.
Guardian, is there more to the Darkness than we thought?

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is a major expansion for Destiny 2, a first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie. It was released on November 10, 2020, as the fifth expansion of Destiny 2. Players travel to Jupiter’s icy moon Europa to confront the Fallen Kell Eramis, who plans to use the power of the Darkness to save her people and take revenge on the Traveler back on Earth, as she and many Fallen believe that the Traveler had abandoned them before the Golden Age of humanity. The player’s Guardian also obtains this new Darkness-based power as a subclass called Stasis, which features new ice-based abilities. The expansion sees the return of the Exo Stranger from the original Destiny’s campaign, as well as Variks from the original game’s House of Wolves expansion, both of which guides the Guardian on Europa. Furthermore, Beyond Light adds other content across the game, including missions, player versus environment locations, player gear, weaponry, and a raid. Beyond Light is the first expansion of Destiny 2 to be released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Bungie described this expansion as the beginning of a new era for the Destiny franchise.

In addition to the expansion, some of the less played locations and activities from the first three years of Destiny 2 were cycled out of the game into what Bungie calls the Destiny Content Vault (DCV), which also includes all areas from the original Destiny. This was done to cut down on the install size of the game, but Bungie plans to cycle areas in and out of the DCV, updating older destinations to fit the current state of the game. Earth’s Cosmodrome from the original game returned alongside Beyond Light. This location mainly serves as the introductory and tutorial destination for first-time players of the New Light free-to-play base game with a full questline, but seasonal content has also been featured here. The original game’s “Vault of Glass” raid will also return during Season 14, updated with Destiny 2 mechanics. Beyond Light has four planned seasonal content offerings for Year 4 of the game: Season of the Hunt, which was available alongside Beyond Light, Season of the Chosen, which began on February 9, 2021, and the third and fourth yet to be named ones, the first of which will come in May and the last season to be announced.
