Destiny 2 Best Stasis PvP Hunter Build and the Destiny 2 Beyond Light Best Hunter Build For PvP. This is an aggressive and defensive build based on using your slowing melee ability to cripple enemies, Shatter Diving your Glacier walls, and S tier Meta weapons. Any time you see an enemy, throw your melee ability at them and they will have their movement slowed, their accuracy and weapon handling speed lowered, and be unable to jump, dodge, dash, sprint, or slide. Your melee also seeks towards targets and bounces off of surfaces and enemies. If there are multiple enemies, you will want to use and Shatter Dive your Glacier Grenade for a good AEO burst, even post nerf. Your dodge should be used either aggressively to approach with your shotgun or defensively to completely avoid all damage from an attack. In both instances your weapons and abilities will be ready instantly after your finish blinking. Keep in mind your dodge will take 10 seconds longer to charge than normal with Mask of Bakris. With Gambler’s Dodge, you will also get your melee back from dodging near enemies. With the Winter’s Shroud aspect, you will also burst stasis around you on dodge, which makes your Bakris dodge even more powerful. Your Super is used mainly as an anti-super and also for groups and zoning. Often times people will stay away from objectives for a long time while waiting out the stasis tornado, which can be the difference of a win in objective play.
There are currently only 2 Aspects for Hunter and they are Shatter Dive for a dive move that shatters all stasis crystal around you and Winter’s Shroud to burst an AEO freeze around you when you dodge. They give you 2 and 0 fragment slots respectively. The chosen fragments are Shards for and boosting grenade recharge from shattering stasis crystals and Fissures for increased damage and radius of stasis crystal bursts.
Your primary weapon, True Prophecy, is used in close to mid-long range. It is an excellent primary use weapon with its superior accuracy and range as compared to 140 RPM hand cannons. It also does a 2 shot body + 1 head shot for its optimal TTK against 4 resilience enemies and it only needs 1 major damage bonus to become a 2 head shot kill. Your special weapon, CQC-12, is very important for giving you +20 Mobility, which is very useful for Hunters’ dodge cooldown and general mobility. Shotguns are also strong in this current Meta where snipers have been nerfed. Your heavy, the Wardcliff Coil, is chosen because it’s the best PvP heavy for anti-super, groups, and easy kills.
The most common counters to this build is being outranged or zoned by defensive enemies, not being close enough to get aim assistance for your shuriken, and another Mask of Bakris enemy that can blink out of your Shatter Dive burst or away from your blink approach.
