  1. Yeah, took me 3 seasons to get NF. So I was finally able to quit Destiny 2 after see it purchasable in the game. Bungie gave me a reason to finally put the game down….I can finally start playing other games. D2 took so much of my time.

  2. Beyond light is one the worst expansions. Like u mentioned in the vid. More than half of the gMe has been vaulted or sunset. And the worst part is we payed this shit.

  3. I LOVED destiny 2.
    I absolutely loved it!
Come Beyond light and now i have allready uninstalled it.
I paid more for beyond light than i did for battlefield 1, a full tripple A game.
    What did it cost? everything..
I lost Titan and all it's fun content.
I lost IO and all it's fun content.
I lost Mars and all it's fun content.
I lost so much more, and now things even cost more to aquire.

After one week i have nothing left to do except raids,
    I'm 1250 powerlevel and i'm done.
D2 is boring now, it made me sad, it made me frustrated.
Thankfully wow has a new expansion, and there is still old content to enjoy, and you can power through it like a god if you want.

  4. That was a great review on the ins and outs, the good and the sad “(losing soo much of my beloved arsenal)
    (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ
that fact was almost unforgivable! you definitely shed some light on their perspective and what to expect.
I will definitely buy the campaign now that i heard your take on itƪ(‾.‾“)┐.
    thanks again comrad!

  5. I honestly hope Bungie listens to reviews because yours has a ton of views compared to others. I love it, I feel like it was a good time to come back, I just got my XSX and Gamepass and I only ever played the base Destiny 2 because we moved right before the expansions started rolling out and couldn't get any form of internet for 3 months (lots of twin peaks and firefly reruns).

  6. Destiny is just Farmville with extra steps. Never ending grind. Feels more like work than fun. At least when you go to work you get paid. This "expansion" you get overcharged for even less rewarding grind. And stasis in PvP looks like something only sweaty players could possibly enjoy, when they really should have tackled ranked skill based matching making. Ending casuals being perpetual cannon fodder. Stasis just made it worse instead.

  7. I’m still weighing this up, I love your reviews man and I hear the positivity but I can’t get around to hitting the purchase button, I loved d1 , a real post apocalyptic feel to the grind and this seems so far from that that if I wasn’t a d1 player I wouldn’t look at it and feel drawn in

Before it was a grind for loot in the battle for survival now it’s just space magic on crack

It weird some say this is one of the best dlc’s to hit destiny yet it could be the one that means I put my primary down for good

  8. Convinced a couple of friends to download the free to play option less than 2 weeks before this update/expansion came out. Do you think they're going to play it now? Everything they were working towards is gone, and the first two "DLC" don't even exist anymore because the destinations for many of those quests are gone. Even the strike playlist is somehow, more lame

  9. Waiting to buy the DLC, I found myself entirely without purpouse to play the game. I started with New Light, and having 6+ exotic quests (most at last step for raids/special-missions) removed from my questlog, 50% of the game removed, and literally just another "moon" area make me feel lost. Only thing the DLC changed for people like me who don't pre-order or instant-buy was just replacing old somewhat grindy content with more of the same.

If there was an evolution here I'd be okay with that, but there isn't, it's just the same model with the old problems so I don't feel like this has solved anything.

  10. This DLC is terrible. The campaign story is so damn boring!! The only good thing about it is that its short. The villain doesn't do anything… at all. They just hype her up the whole time but there is no real sense of threat there at all. Stasis is both trash and too good, its terrible in pve and broken in pvp. Having to use it is the worst part of the DLC. If you disagree its only because you've been using the same classes for the better part of a decade with little change and anything new seems awesome, but your just in the honeymoon phase. If you don't believe me do a heroic or higher nightfall with stasis and one with a light class and see which one actually works better. Bungie keeps doing this bullshit and its really disappointing. This was a money grab which I wouldn't mind if they tried just a little but this lazy mess of an expansion is beyond frustrating.

  11. You know this is a fanboy review when the term "but that might be added later down the line" is used over 10 times in 12 minutes.

Just spitting facts, call me when Bungie decides to make a real Destiny 3. Imagine giant open world with 60 man raids, storming the battlefront facing hundreds of enemies and dozens of bosses all at the same time. Imagine being able to jump into our ship and fly across the planet and with the click of a button drop out midair on our sparrow (which has increased speed by about 400% with a supersonic booster ability kicking it into 1000% speed increase compared to its current speed) and then landing on the surface proceeding towards the next mission area with over 30 friends doing the same thing all around you.

Or youknow, just add a snowy area with dynamic weather…

  12. My main problem at this point is the requirements for quests you want the engram from crow oh well do 15 strikes or gambit or pvp or a combo of all you want to finish this quest well grind out more of all the above. It gets old fast that is why I stepped away from the game in the first place

  13. i'm ok with the drip system in content. load time decreases are super noticeable. everything is quicker. i'd have paid $50 for that alone. the pvp patch for stasis made everything better.
ya bungie could have marketed much better and really pushed the positives. overall i'd change my initial review from a 3 to a 4.5 out of 5, esp considering covid

  14. couldn't they have just kept the destinations intact for now and went cataclysm style later by changing them all in 1 oversized patch?
Also, the main problem with sunsetting is that they shouldn't have ever made items other than exotics scale-able and make every item scale in pvp to create an even playing ground no matter the gear score or level.

you keep saying that, you don't even know what that means. I wanted to find some rational critique towards BL and content removal but the clip paints you more with being "a sucker for anything Destiny-related" than being level headed. Disappointed.

  16. At the end of the day it comes down to what am I paying for. Crucible maps will be available to everyone, strikes are available to everyone(or so I’ve heard), and gambit maps will be available for everyone. With those taken out of the equation that means that you are basically paying $40 for some missions, exotics, and a new subclass. I do not see that as worth $40. I’d recommend buying it on Black Friday or on another sale when it is around $30.

  17. He is telling in the review that content will be updated and return it to the game… Yeah and they are going to re-sell it like every D1 weapon. Right now i have content i payed for gone and my future prospect is that i will have to buy the planets again… Goodbye Destiny

  18. Hopefully the overpowered nature of Darkness is intended and will be written in to the story where Traveler is forced to wake up and release a whole bunch of new quests and campaign lines that allow you to rebuild and power up your Light subclasses

  19. A lack of content. Surprise surprise. This possibility is exactly why I decided to wait on this expansion. That, and sunsetting left such a bad taste in my mouth that I pretty much stopped playing. This is the first (and likely not the last) Destiny expansion that I think I'll sit out on until it's released later as some free thing or sold for super cheap.
