Zavala actually reconciled with Rasputin during Season of the Worthy. Check out the Felwinter's Lie quest. It basically revealed that the Iron Lord Felwinter was originally a copy of Rasputin in Exo form designed to interact with humanity. Rasputin eventually destroyed its own Exo body by dropping a warsat on it, but The Traveler gave it a Ghost and thus Felwinter was born. Over the years of interacting with Ana Bray, Rasputin came to believe in Guardians and Zavala even acknowledged it as a friend.
