You can still get Dire Promise. I got one from crucible tokens not too long ago with auto loading holster and swashbuckler
I'm loving my True prophecy (rangefinder, explosive payload) range masterwork. Feels better than any other hand cannons I have. I just can't get the shot rhythm down with dire promise. I get frustrated trying to use it and just switch back to my true prophecy.
Also loving last word but that's because I'm on console lol
Like a fool, I was clearing out my vault and deleted all my True Prophecies during the start of the season thinking I would never use them. I do have a couple Steady Hands that are solid. I use one with slideshot/snapshot for PVP that feels really good. I use another one for PVE that has outlaw/swashbuckler which hits pretty hard.
For some reason, the Dire Promise doesn’t feel right to me. I just can’t get into a rhythm with 140s in general. 120s feel so much better to me.
I suck so i still haven't completed the Hawkmoon quest.
I used to love Dire Promise but since the update it doesn't feel right to me anymore. I've fallen in love with 120s since Beyond Light. I have a Steady Hand, True Prophecy, and Crimil's Dagger that all feel amazing, but my Dagger with triple tap, opening shot and a range masterwork is smooth as butta for me.
