The TWAB was released today, and Bungie hit us with several STASIS nerfs for both PvP & PvE. The largest changes were to the Warlock Penumbral Melee, as well as the Duration of being Frozen (from the Cold Snap grenade). Let’s go over all the nerfs together.

  1. Didn't yall want the mf nerfed yall I saw was ppl crying about the super. An the warlock needed to be nerfed did yall not see the videos. I use to give the hunters shit for aways crying but now I see that the warlocks ain't no better.

  2. CC of any degree in pvp is aids. At the very least they should have all stasis last for 1,35 seconds. Preferably not at all, but otherwise the bungie fanboys will cry they will have to get to good instead of freezing the entire fucking map over and over again.

    But that black hole grenade (I don't have it unlocked cause i barely use stasis) shouldnt 1 pull you in if you're OUTSIDE its radius and 2 shouldn't disable advanced movements like the three classes form of double jump, and hunter dodge. Even if you're near the edge, you'll be frozen for almost 5 seconds because you cant sprint, you cant dodge, you cant double jump, you can barely walk.

    Stasis is by far the worst thing that ever made its way to Destiny pvp. Even worse than pre nerf vex mythoclast or pre nerf god roll felwinters lie in destiny 1

  3. People are FREAKING out over the changes but TBH I think they feel pretty good in pvp. Maybe dial back the warlock melee range nerf. Like a middle ground from what it was and now. If you think warlock is dead you are way over reacting.

  4. So what is the range on celestial fire as well as the hunter ranged melee's?

    I feel the melee range was a bit rough for the pve side. Especially since you dont have a powered close range melee.

  5. Warlock was the only class stasis felt adequately strong on in pve. Hunter and Titan simply had better options for the most part with their other classes. This nerf sucks and shouldn't punish the majority of players who buy destiny primarily for the pve content (raids).

  6. Here's my input.
    PvP freeze time should be closer to 2 seconds, maybe a liiiiittle bit above.

    Warlock Melee can keep it's original blast radius, but keep the range and speed nerf.

    Fix Titan

    Done

    I'm sorry you warlocks keep getting shafted.

  7. Nah, they went overboard. Not sure if every other super still freezes for the 4.5 seconds but they dead ass trying to nova warp warlocks again. You literally have to be 7m away to even use your melee in the first place, it will almost never be able to come out at that range with a nearly 50% nerf. Not to mention you're just going to have the 2 part super have less time to activate the shatter. Couldve at least made it 2.0 seconds instead of nearly instant. It'll only just change the game to people using more slowed abilities. And I'm guessing the warlock problem was a pc only thing or just a bunch of complainers because titan clearly outclassed penumbral and the melee on warlocks barely hit with its less then 2m blast radius, it was literally the easiest to miss and easiest to dodge, now it's just 10x easier. Should've left pve completely alone too

  8. I don’t see why they didn’ nerf all freeze duration by grenades to 1.35. Now we are just going to switch to the other nades and be back to square one with annoying freeze timers. I don’t mind if supers get that long duration but all nades should be 1.35

  9. Being a warlock main . I was shocked by how op warlock got with it's new statis abilities.
    I enjoyed it for a while But it became boring in pvp, because the challenge was gone.
    So I'm actually really glad with this fix.
    The warlock melee range decrease in pvp was needed.
    But it's a shame that this affected pve as well.
    Guess I need to adapt my pve playstyle a bit.
    That's the only thing I don't fully support. That the melee range decrease , also affected pve.
    Other than that, I think this was a great fix . I was scared this subclass would suffer too much from the nerf.
    But they found a balanced way to nerf it, without ruining the subclass.
    Good job on them for achieving this so quickly.

  10. hot take, but freeze duration on coldsnap made it useless in pvp imo. I think the range and aim assist nerfs on the lock super would have been sufficient. as of now it's still low risk high reward.

  11. Fallout Did the Titans get nerfed with their blink movement in the sky as well or Do warlocks never get to dominate in pvp without the community Acting like Warlocks are Trump and we became President.

  12. Why even nerf the Warlock range??? It's so dumb… I was thinking they nerfed splash damage but nope. People just broke out faster and it doesn't go far enough! I'm so done with this game. Why play something when the creators seem to hate you.

I think the damage you take after breaking out statis should be based each class stats (Titans – Resilence; Hunters – Mobility ; Warlocks – Recovery) because in current situation Titans are in advantage because by default you want to max Resilence on them and for example if you want to go Hunter with high Mobility+Discipline you will be in disadvantage.
