These are the steps to fast and easy solo-farm Essence of Dawning in Destiny 2:
1 – Make sure you got Recon Data in Xillox Prey Mod
2 – Place this mod this mod
3 – Place empty mod in the second slot
4 – Place Reputation mod in the third slot
(that will trigger Tier 2 Wrathborn Hunt and you’ll get 15 Essence of Dawning, instead of 10)
5 – Go to Dreaming City and place the Lure
6 – Damage the the Ogre and track him
7 – While you loading into the Hunt, empty your Lure, so you don’t lose the charge and Recon Data always stays in Xillox Prey Mod
8 – Kill the Ogre and place your empty Lure
9 – Kill Xillox
10 – After killing Xillox, place mods as described in steps 1-4
11 – Repeat
