  1. As a father of 4, new solo Gamepass Destiny 2 player, I must say all of this sounds amazing. Some of the quests for exotics were overwhelming and many times led me to the crucible where it is obvious for my skill level that I would never get those 250 kills with just wins (damn you Drifter). Oh, and it is fair that raid exotics still require raids…If I don't do raids, I don't deserve one.

Now…I play on Xbox Series X, but D2 looks and feels way better on my PC…I am tempted to buy the PC version….

  2. Glad it's confirmed it's still coming to game pass, was worried as they've removed it off of early download on Xbox, started D2 last week after doom like I mentioned, loving it so far so I don't want to miss out on content lol

Got thorn, beat the scourge raid with some friends and got xenophage all in one night/day with some intense farming, so it's going well so far

Looking to do leviathan this weekend for the sake of it

  3. I tried the game a bit ago and just getting to the first town, the town and everything there was overwhelming. I read that bungie was going to make a new players experience better, have they done it yet? Also I was wondering whats going on with the previous paid dlc, is it being rolled into the free game or does it still cost etc. Thanks.

  4. I am cheap AF (as long as COVID keeps my money tight) and play on XB1S w/o game pass or gold. I was very excited to see the huge amount of content and gameplay available in solo PvE. I started playing towards the end of the summer of 2020 and am now light level ~1006 (give or take) and have unlocked every planet (before DLC) and am currently completing the legacy campaigned packed into new light. (I have completed warmind, over halfway into the red war, haven't touched curse of osiris. Apparently that is out of order ig)

Anyway, I have seen lots of controversy on what is changing with new light players when beyond light comes out, and this video helped a lot. But after I complete the new light campaign(s), is there anything left to keep me tied to this game if vanguard, strikes, and crucible are unavailable as long as I don't have xbox gold?

Side story, when I downloaded Destiny 2, the game I played the most was Forza Horizon 3 (I was grinding to 99.9% completion, since the last .1% was a timed event that I missed) and Fallout 4, both games I got as a physical disk for free from friends. I actually really liked Fallout 4 and the modding possible on xbox, but I need extra HDD space for the 100GB Destiny 2, and thought yeah I will uninstall fallout, I got it on disk, and i can reinstall it if destiny isn't for me. But then I uninstalled both FH3 and FO4, installed D2 and then reinstalled FO4 after making additional HDD space. And then every single one of my cloud saves for FO4 was corrupted and I lost all of my probably 800 hours of playtime because of how save files are tied to mods (plenty of mods create data integrated into the save file, but if you delete a mod and go back to your latest save file, that save file can be corrupted with useless mod data), and i had a couple banned mods that couldn't ever be redownloaded. And that is why I stopped playing Fallout 4, and started playing D2.
