EDIT: when talking about Destiny 2 DLC I meant to say “Lightfall” not “Beyond Light”.

What is Stadia?
Stadia is a cloud based gaming service that launched in 2019 by Google.

But is it worth a try in 2023? My answer is a resounding yes with a few stipulations…

  1. I used to hate cloud gaming until I have my kids … lol
I can't just seat and play all day in my system….not any more .. my kids are running..playing all over the house. So I just have stadia and gamepass. And i play even at work between breaks .. I'm almost finished with saints row. .. if I'm waiting to play it on Xbox or ps5. I will be in the begging of the game…. lol

  2. pro membership is 9.99 per month. The pro games do change, however, if you're a pro member you keep all the pro games even if they leave. I love Stadia. recently I switched to T Mobile home internet, and I haven't been able to play well on it, but hopefully it will improve with time.

  3. Pretty good video. You had a few good points and some misunderstood parts. SG&E was their first party game studio that they shut down back in March 2021. They still have been releasing new features every few months. U can stream your gameplay straight to YouTube. Expanding into Mexico. Other things. Google never said they were shifting away from Stadia, they shifted focus to creating better porting tools and partnerships. I play on everything but Stadia is good if you have a busy life.

  4. I'm looking forward in purchasing more games in 2023. Flawless experience in the past few years but more games will help.
A opinion coming from a flexible gamer on multiple devices but defo say its the future

  5. To be honest, I see no reason Stadia couldn't take over the gaming community. Not by being the best cloud gaming platform, but being a checkpoint in history that offers us a way to finally not have to download a game again. I've heard people say they like consoles based on the nostalgic fact that they have to wait for the game to download for hours! Ridiculous! Playing games shouldn't have to be be such a waste of time from wasting hundreds of dollars on video games and then hours for the download. Stadia offers way more than every console, despite its library of games, it's still very more affective and way more less time consuming.

  6. I really wanted stadia to blow up, especially when there was no way to get a PS5 and Xbox at the time due to COVID and all. Google could've taken over, but I understand that it is very expensive to pay the game companies to port over triple A games. I really hope they come back with exclusive triple A games with major companies. At this time, I'll just continue to play my Xbox one.

  7. Games library leaves some desires but as someone who used to hate a lot. I play destiny 2 and cyber punk on stadia recently as I am done with next gen. I have decent internet at home and work so maybe this is why but besides a few skips an hr or so (I'm not a nazi pc gamer) the service works and looks great. And I play on my tablet or phone.

Edit: a tad pricey for some but I'm getting shadow pc subscription soon and would have never heard about that if I hadn't started in the cloud with Stadia.

  8. I just started using stadia and honestly I really like it, I don't expect the fidelity of playing on a gaming rig necessarily, but not having your laptop melt into your lap while playing a game is real nice
