That really just hurts invisible builds for PvE. If the dodge was useful for anything else maybe I’d care more. Not being able to actually dodge something like a punch in pvp seems retarded. What’s the point of a dodge if you’re not dodging anything? At this point, it’s just an animation. Might as well just emote. Probably why I’ve avoided hunter for a while, rather have something useful that doesn’t rely on specific subclass or exotic. Heals and shields save lives, while dodging is suicidal.
I used to be a hunter main like you, but then I took a lack of dodge to the knee.

With all due respect to Bungie there really isn't very much to be excited about in this new Expansion/Contraction. we are basically paying for them to dramatically shrink the game and give us a few new guns and armor to play in a greatly reduced Sandbox. The real question is who should be paying who?

Hunter main here. I’m just gonna say hunters ain’t been strong in D2 for like forever, they are subpar at best compared to D1. I think most of the nerfs for hunters just come do to the large portion of the community that plays hunters. Which makes more sense then anything else I’ve seen posted by people it would just get annoying to see the same thing over and over. The strongest meta game for hunters was undoubtedly the worm husk era. Outside of that I find playing hunters for so long then playin anything else way more Out of wack. There’s damage increasing abilities built into both of the other two classes. Which can be abused like crazy it’s just not enough people play the other two classes to be honest. There’s also health regen abilities built into multiple trees on both other classes. Which can at times make them damn near un killable 1v1. We can watch a lot of top tier players showcase this as evidence. When players like gigs and frostbolt are put against the average dudes. They down right showcase the potency of these classes. Gigs movement is insane on top tree, and frosty has shown me more then once how to one shot with some dope titan builds. To even get close to doing this with a hunter. You have to play off charges with light mechanics, or a buff from someone else. Recently been running Phoenix cradle with arbalest. And that’s probable the most broken fun I’ve had in awhile. You can body shot with arbalest anything do to the buff. Which creates another sun spot for you to refresh the buff. Js maybe people just think hunters are strong do to over-saturation.
I am a little bit sad that the hunter is nerfed but yeah the dodge is strong so i accept it, but i just wished they could make it 2 or 3 seconds longer instead of 4 that seems too much. Im just disappointed that they didn't touch the other sub classes like top-tree danw could be nice to just nerfe a little bit the celestial fire or plus one second to icarius dash but thats fine they didn't because that their only good class for pvp and if they nerf it they at least need to buff other warlock sub classes, BUT the thing that will scare me the most will be a titan max resilience with the new exotic icefall mantel. Giving a titan 20 seconds of overshield with a cooldown of 14 seconds max resilience or even 21 seconds for tier 8, so they gonna get a shield all the time even if they are slower cause of the exotic. Am i the only one that is concern about this? Hope that will dont get anoter antheus ward like meta but with a more broken exotic.

Honestly 4 seconds doesn't mean anything if your a great hunter, I barely use dodge in PvP or in pve but I can't say anything because I where the nice jester pants for the overall look, people constantly try to change set ups, to be at the top rather then adjust to the changes, I honestly hate how the constantly nerf things that just needs a lil tinkering and warlocks need fixing more then any other class

The bad hunters are being exposed by crying about the nerf omegalul. I feel I should add that I am a hunter and literally do not care about this nerf, whats a few seconds for me to move out the way? lmao the only hunters getting mad about this nerf are the wormhusk spammers in crucible which, quite frankly, i am happy with getting a nerf – wormhusk hunters are the worst to play against

I don’t disagree with the change to hunter dodge because they are already a pointless class, pro tip if you were a hunter main just play top tree dawn, it’s faster has the disengage dodge twice on a 5 second cool down a better ultimate better grenades perfect in air accuracy and you can run ophidian aspects for the swap speed/melee range. Point being bungie pls just nerf top tree dawn then figure out the rest of your busted game.
So the dodge which I rarely use is getting nerfed? I thought hunters were supposed to be agile but yet the other classes are just as fast and have better jump mobility they even get a cool healing rift thing and a literally wall. Meanwhile I'm over here just rolling out the way of nothing because I still get killed in the middle of a roll. I see why they call them bungo now

I'm a hunter main and yes the dodge ability is stupid useful being able to remove aim assist is extremely cracked so a few seconds more of charge would definitely help balance it out a little
