The Stasis subclass has been around since Beyond Light, and was our first Darkness subclass in Destiny 2. Over the years Stasis has taken a bit of a backseat to the 3.0 updates for Solar, Arc, and Void, as well as the newly released Strand subclass. Is Stasis in need of updates to make it better? Is it fine the way it is? What does Behemoth Titan need to finally be used outside niche situations? Today we’ll be talking about my thoughts on the current state of Stasis in Destiny!

Bungie should give stasis titans have a banner of war like aspect that instead of healing pulses releases slow stacks every pulse. Just an idea.
I always related the strength of Stasis to the 'old days' of trying to clear the Glassway GM or cheesing other endgame Master Raids, back in that sandbox/meta. CC/freezing enemies used to be strong in the game back when GM was actually scary – when we couldn't kill Wyverns and other beefy enemies fast enough so we had to freeze them if we couldn't burst them, and many things could 1-shot us (pre-Resilience change IIRC).
That's no longer the case, we melt everything now and we have tons of damage reduction there's no point in freezing things now that we can kill things easier, the game has become easier in general thus the sandbox leaving behind Stasis.
Short of making the game hard again, which I know is controversial for some, the simplest and quickest solution I can think of is just give Stasis more damage. There are many steps to go from Slow -> Freeze -> Shatter but the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Shatter should be doing way more damage, maybe they can start from there.
I love stasis lock and revenant.
The stasis lock issue is an amazing pvp super, which is terrible for pve. Can't even kill an unstoppable champion. I wish I also could replace penumbra blast with something like staff shatter which would break my crystals.
Revenant needs a pve super plus a way to get survivability without using only renewal grasps, which I love.
I think fragments and aspect reworks are needed. Overhaul the shard generation aspects to new aspects, add the shard mechanical generation to different aspects that would synergies with them.
I find stasis is good, but all sub-classes can generate their associated pickups with fragments, and Stasis only has aspects, also those aspects are unique to each class:
slowing targets generate Shards, Hunter
freezing targets generate shards: Warlock
destroying stasis Crystals generate shards: Titan.
Built those instead into fragments and give us new aspect abilities.
As long as I can shatter skate, I'll be happy with whatever Bungie decides to do.
I like using my Stasis Titan build — but I feel like I need to always use Precious Scars because of survivability, which means I could have that survivability anywhere. And, as mentioned, I do feel like I often do a bunch of stuff just to allow someone else to kill the mobs I'm fighting vs. any other build where I get to actually kill things and progress. Frost Armor would be great, would let me feel like I can use hoarfrost and have fun. Well, more fun than putting up ice walls everywhere then dying anyway.
