The fast way to get legendary shards for the Destiny 2 Xur is to gain a lot of legendary armor and legendary guns or exotic gear if you have extra. The best place to get legendary engrams and legendary weapons and legendary armors are the destiny 2 nightfall and the destiny 2 raid. The other way to get fast legendary gear and exotic gear for dismantling is to spend planetary tokens and dismantle the resulting legendary guns and legendary armors.
