  1. Seeing dynamic weather on every planet would be awesome. No more rain exclusive to Titan. Rain, Sunshine, Snow, Overcast, Fog, Lightning & Thunder, etc. on EVERY planet (befitting the climate of the region of course).

  2. If I'm interpreting this correctly, the scripting tool in D2 currently only has access to rudementary stuff about the game state (i.e. which people are alive and what goals they have) but the new scripting tools will have access to more high level game data including player position, rotation, speed, weapons, etc. All that means is that whatever scripting bungie wants to do they can do it based on more minutia about the game state. It'll probably be easier to pickup on who's cheating and kick em in pvp and also introduce more varied mechanics to the game.

  3. No one cares about FRIGGIN EMblems! I havent played in 2 months, and I dont miss it. Bungie has ruined this game. Unless they are getting back to D1 style, then a lot of us are not coming back. MOD's? Seriously?

  4. So Bungie is going to start rolling out face cosmetics from Tess everis….well hopefully we can finally give our Guardians those beards everyone wanted back in D1… i would like one for my hunter.

  5. Regarding the Physics Host: This is very difficult to determine how this would play out.

It’s likely not going to work how you’d intuit. Basically, there are probably a number of mission and game mechanics they’ve considered for various encounters, but were limited by potential bugs or clunkiness that would be experienced at retail (“retail” would refer to the version of the game you play as a consumer)

From what I can tell, a change in location reporting would allow Bungie to implement mechanics on a more microscopic scale. If you’ve ever noticed, mechanics for various encounters are very granular.

This will probably mean more things happening in encounters and a far more increased diversity of mechanics. It’ll also probably have various side-effects depending on what assets are stored where.

Most importantly though, this will likely have the greatest effect on decreasing the disparity between dev and retail builds, allowing for Bungie to be able to make changes and tweaks with far more confidence, requiring them to build and consider far less complications, resulting in more efficient content.

Depending on how much freedom this gives Bungie to more closely bring content closer to their vision, this could have side-effects that could ripple throughout the entire game, considering it would allow them to do far more in far less time, and with far fewer resources. This means that even if it doesn’t directly impact your personal player experience it will likely indirectly affect it by freeing up Bungie to more quickly tear through their backlog. Which is ultimately in-line with the goal of other listed changes.

  7. Any time the word 'diversity' comes up in regards to… anything really anymore, I start to cringe. It always seems to mean something is about to be shoved down my throat whether I want it or not. Usually not.
Having it come up in regards to character customization fills me with dread.

  8. The small print for new players, "Here at Bungie our mission statement is to create a living world for each Guardian to experience to their full potiential, errrrr it turns out we can't actually do this. So instead, we are going to incessantly create items that require hours if not days/weeks to attain only to negate their use in the game shortly after their acquisition. We enjoy drinking our Champagne and not caring as you dedicate time you may not necessarily have to mindlessly engage in our FOMO social experiment. From our initial projections the player base should have been zero by now. However we are truly astonished to see no matter how boring, repetitive or worthless we make the experience for you, you will continue to log in. One might even say Destiny and Destiny 2 is akin to a Rat Park? During play you may encounter errors such as baboon, bobcat, insert stupid name here, etc. When and not if this happens please send a detailed email explaining what happened to we'llneveraddressanyoftheseissues.com. We are almost out of Bin 95 Grange, so if you wouldn't mind, be a good Guardian and purchase a few items from Eververse, no one is ever too old to play dress ups with your virtual Dolly. We sincerely hope you enjoy the game (hehe, no we don't, we just like money) and wish you lots and lots of fun. Eyes up Donkey and chase that carrot." It does look and sound great though.
