  1. 1 location!
    1 strike!
    0 new crucible maps!
    0 new crucible modes!
    1 raid!
Story Missions? Who knows how many! Shadowkeep had 3 timegated missions only!
    Dungeon? We hope!

Taken King and Forsaken cost $40. This better be on that level

  2. Cosmodrome even without the plaguelands is HUGE, and with Europa, Stasis, 3 new supers, the 11 confirmed exotics (I'd be very surprised if they don't have a secret/hidden exotic(s) up their sleeves and the raid exotic), and the entire Fallen theme of civil war which could lead to redemption or extermination for the Eliksni. All of that and the new Raid?

Yeah I think it's safe to say we're already well beyond what Shadowkeep was.

  3. Theres no reason for beyond light to do this, but I'd love for the black garden to become a patrol zone, it just looks awesome. I didn't like jesus at all until I realized it's a red and white black garden.

EDIT: okay, I meant to say Nesus, but I'm leaving it because it sounds funny

  4. I think bungie has been hesitating with the Fallen's story, but it's my personal opinion that they're finally setting something in motion with Beyond Light that we've been waiting for. I think many of the fallen, who mind you are not an inherently evil species, will realize that though the traveler won't choose them again, the darkness is not the way to go. Or that Eramis is not the leader they think she'll be. Either way, a Human-Awoken-Eliksni alliance has been a very clear possibility in the lore for some time now. And let's be honest, we're going to need them if we hope to survive the next 3 years.

  5. Lowkey think the story campaign will be about the darkness, and the accompanying season will be about the inevitable civil war between the fallen, given the existence of the house of light. The question is, which side will we ally with?

  6. I want more secrets in destiny 2. I want people to explore and discover new things instead of everything being announced and given a trailer. Obviously the advertising from the trailers is good but just give us a few things that are secret.

  7. Just as a joke knowing bungie the size of Europa be as big as mercury lmao. Like it be hyped all up but in reality it's tiny lmao im really hoping its going to be the biggest planet there is

  8. I've been playing as an Exo Warlock since the D1 beta. The Deep Stone Crypt has been the biggest mystery that I've always wanted solved since I read about it in the lore of D1 year 1. The fact that it is the RAID is insane and I just hope that it lives up to almost 8 years of hype.

  9. wait wait wait wait, so were getting the cosmodrome, Europa, 2 raids (both woven into the story), a new element, a potential continuation of the uldren story, a confirmed continuation of the exo-stranger and pyramid ship story line, 11 confirmed exotics (IK hawkmoon and no time to explain are old D1 exotics but I'm counting it) New guns and armour along with new cosmetics, definite hints of savathun due to the next big expansion, a UI rework along with others i forgot to mention AND we still arent sure if the expansion is going to be big enough and worth the price??

  10. It's not going to be that great. The campaign will be cool. Then there will be a raid, and a strike…….. and a seasons worth of exotic weapons, and season of arrivals missing exotic armor plus 3 more. They need a new format because at this rate the game is charging us near full price for ¼ of the content of a full game.

  11. Wasn’t the original plan to make Destiny 3? But then they decided to do the DCV, and make Beyond light an expansion. That to me says that it could be the biggest expansion yet, if they were originally building it to be a new game.

  12. Ok… I have to admit I do not expect Europa to be as big as the dreaming city at all. I feel like it'll be a space like Mars or the EDZ. There's no way bungie without Activision is able to do more or equal as bungie with Activision.

  13. If Europa doesn't have a TON of meaningful and replayable things to do, people are going to get bored very quickly and the game is going to feel very empty with them vaulting/sunsetting so much content. Here's to hoping.

  14. These dudes are talking about all the wrong things. When you’re removing literally half the game, including two paid expansions, and replacing it with what sounds like 20% of that back, you’re losing 30% of the game on the other side. I don’t care about “depth” or “complexity” of the story, I care about having shit to do. I care that they’re removing 11 PVP maps and adding 0 back in. I care that they’re removing 7 strikes and adding 1 back in. I care that they’re removing 3 campaigns and adding 1 back in. I care that half of what they are adding is recycled content from the first game. And don’t tell me they’re “vaulting” this shit because no one is playing it—no one is playing it because they’re not incentivizing us to. Even then, people still are playing it. 3% of 10,000,000 players are 300,000 players. How can ESO continually add shit without removing a drop of content? ESO is over 10x bigger than Destiny with a much richer lore.

  15. I’m not convinced. It depends on the Story content and surrounding activities.

It doesn’t matter how ‘big’ Beyond Light is if we have to fall back onto the same Power Level grind and “weekly ritual activities” once the story is finished.

That would mean that after a few weeks of Story and Post-Story Quests we’re doing the same activities we’ve been doing for over a year now. Except this time the pool of available strikes and Crucible/Gambit maps are going to be significantly reduced.

I don’t doubt the BL story will be well written and engaging, I think Stasis and the new Exotics are going to be really fun to play and experiment with. I bet money that the Raid and Dungeon will be stellar experiences.

But if the Raid and Dungeon are the only new things outside of the Story? Well you’ve got to grind PL first, which means doing the same old activities. And then when you’ve got the loot from the Raid/Dungeon, in those big expanses between Content releases, what are we doing? The same old activities alongside a repetitive Seasonal or Event activity.

Bungie need to be bringing new stuff to the table outside of the core BL content: The Destination, Story, Raid, Dungeon. Whether that’s with Beyond Light itself, or more engaging Seasonal content. It needs to be a TTK or Forsaken level switchup for the whole game, especially with so much content going away.

I genuinely hope they do it. I want BL to be great. I’m just looking at their track record and I’m not convinced. So far I’ve seen very little indication from Bungie about scale.
