We have returned to Destiny 2 for Beyond light and as we wrap up the initial content and prepare to settle in it was time to react and sit down to talk about initial impressions so far. We played Destiny 1 a lot and have had slightly different experiences with Destiny 2 but its good to be back and decide if this is worth playing to come back to or even try new now that its easier for more players than ever before to get in free or close to it.

Hey guys! Love your content. I'm a huge ffxiv player and a huge destiny player.
IDK…as a pvp player of D2…last time "balance" was done in pvp it wrecked the experience. Like if I want a true balance shooter I'll go play something else. I play destiny for fun. That's it. It's not an esport game and we have games for that. I truly do understand the frustrations with wanting certain things from Destiny, but in the end…that's not the direction. And we tried that. That didn't do well.
That said, if it was a single mode? As a trial? I could possibly get behind that. Not upheaving the entire thing and going all esport style. That would be awful.
This is just my opinion, however I feel like the most fun I have in destiny comes in the fact that crazy stunts can be pulled. If I just worry about "this should be balanced" then I might need to play another game. I know others share different opinions though.
It’s so odd as a new player. I dropped in for the first time in months, then the new intro launched and I had to play another mission. My level was boosted to 1050 but my weapons were all too “meh” to be fun.
Is all the old content gone?
My opinion is it’s a fun expansion so far, has lots of bugs and issues but overall fun. Wether that feeling lasts will depend entirely on how good the deep stone crypt raid is and if we get more loot cuz right now I’m just getting world drops from previous seasons, there isn’t enough loot and if the raid flops, I’m out
Seriously… "oh man you just picked up the game and didn't invest 120 hrs into it, but expect to go against other people who have invested time into the game" that type of thinking is absolute trash. The people who invest the time into the game should be able to wreck havoc. Otherwise whats the fucken point. Gtfo, lost respect points from me.
The destiny community is very insatiable and they are never satisfied. Even when they get what they want…they complain

Destiny is my favourite game, it's the only game I play but after spending £60 I cant help feeling a bit bored after playing beyond light it for a few days. There doesnt see like theres much to do after the campaign. I was expecting more from the new stasis super and better exotics
