Ahead of the impending release of Destiny 2’s newest expansion, Bungie has released the story trailer Beyond Light setting the stage for what we can expect to experience in the campaign’s story.

In this video, we’re taking a look at how House Salvation, lead by Eramis, former baroness of the House of Devils, is fed up with the rut the Fallen race has found themselves in after the Traveler has left them. Being gifted with the power of the Darkness and channeling it through the new element, Stasis, Eramis plans to exact revenge on the traveler and restore the Fallen to their former glory.

This is where Variks, former warden of the Prison of Elders comes in. His intentions are to seek the help of Guardians on Europa to prevent Eramis from amassing an army of Stasis wielding Fallen from taking over.

  1. Gonna be a lore nerd for a sec here Destin, but we spoke TONS in Shadowkeep – a lot more than we did in Forsaken, especially in the pyramid cutscene and the final cutscene. Overall the breakdown was pretty solid though

  2. Oh how it amuses me Destin how constantly you are wrong about things pertaining to Destiny, in this instance our guardian spoke in Shadowkeep. Please for all that you hold holy, do some research please before making statements in regard to a game you profess to love and lead a discussion group about on IGN on a weekly basis.

  3. I still don’t understand why everyone is mad at Variks. He isn’t the reason Cayde died; Cayde is. Variks was in a panic because he was finding corrupted ether that was allowing dangerous fallen including the Fanatic to revive themselves. Variks told this to Cayde and begged him to alert the Vanguard and Cayde basically told him to F- Off. So, Variks ran, realizing that no one cared about his people but him. Cayde only had to do the bare MINIMUM of telling the Vanguard what he’d been told and he’d still be alive. Cayde was a Vanguard member directly in contact with the Reef and was effectively Varik’s only contact to Zavala.

  4. For all those betas saying he didn't mention that Guardians spoke in Shadowkeep, who cares? He probably forgot. I mean Destiny 2 is a forgettable game, Bungie disrespects our time investment, especially in the Pinnacle weapons I grinded for. I have every Pinnacle weapon and Ritual weapon and now They are sunsetting it. So I sunsetted my business with them six months ago.

  5. Wasn't destiny worse than EA in terms of releasing unfinished lackluster games for 60$ plus 35$ for season passes for content that should be in the original product? 💀

  6. You didn’t highlight the fact that she blew up the serverter. That’s a big deal. She’s basically saying they don’t need them. The significance of that was important.
