My expanded review and first impressions about Destiny 2 Beyond Light Campaign, leveling, and sunsetting is not very positive. Bungie continues to get so much right while chopping the legs off of their own content launches.

Did the campaign solo with no power levelling. Its the way to do it. Great pacing and good story…. If you are power levelling to play the campaign its the same as just playing another game on easy mode. Why on earth would anyone do that?

Sadly nothing will ever top The Taken King and Forsaken, to be honest I had high hopes for this DLC, but let me tell you so far I have seen nothing but dog shit except for the new abilities those are badass that’s something new for fucks sake. Shooting the same dregs over and over, fighting the new kell of kell, this is about the darkness and the traveler not the same old vanilla fallen who gives a shit about them. I want some fucking backstory of the darkness history of the traveler how it was created where it came from why it runs from the darkness. You people don’t realize that bungie is nothing but money hungry punks who just hype you up, and every DLC you feed into the hype no matter how bad it is and you know it. Fuck man I’m tired of the same recycled content this game is one of my favorites and I just want it to be good again, but that spark is just dying for me

If they sunset exotics the game will die. The "expansion" is lacking content, they could have taken some of the eververse items they put so much work into & added them to strikes for a reason to play them! Sun setting only works if you make enough replacements for what you remove and bungie are too lazy to make too many weapons, no vendor refresh is insulting and 90% of the loot drops are sunset gear! Destiny content creators should be running to another game fast. This expansion is high priced and dull.
you can use sunset weapons in previous raids, gambit, dungeons, crucible and gambit. also the new raid is set at 1230, only 30 lvls away from cap for those who hit soft they will be able to play it albeit at a higher difficulty.

1. Performace drop 40-60%
2. Statis good in PVE but nightmare in PVP
3. Ton of bug (unplayable strike, sector farm, repeatable quest XP bug)
4. 70% sunsetting weapon but only add 20%++ reaskin weapon
5. Loot table not updating
6. Overprice buying DLC not including season pass (WTF)
7. Only 1 new strike, no new mode PVP
8. Whinterhorn disabled
I hope bungie fix the first one, and hear the community more
Maybe its just me but not once did I leave the campaign because I was too under light. All the missions I was under level, didn't die almost at all, fought hard through each room and enjoyed everything.
Here ya go… All you fools who thought sunsetting was a very good idea, and you actually defended bungie for doing it. We tried to get through to you, but you were so blinded by Luke Smith's sausage that you couldn't see the reality of the situation. Thanks for not using your brain…

The core loop of the game is working toward new weapons to help get through harder content, or to work with certain builds. Right now we have lost most of our weapons, and have very little content to use them in. I don't understand why the thought implementing every aspect of sunsetting at once was a good idea.

I’m a new player on game pass and I’m loving it. I love the world and lore they’ve created, the combat is amazing and the mission structure is entertaining. But I don’t have to pay a shit ton of money for the content, and I wasn’t around for the launch of the game. I guess I don’t understand why people who are unhappy with the game don’t just stop playing and move onto another game. Apex has been my favorite game since it’s launch, but they just changed the battle pass to this super grindy bullshit that requires you play multiple hours everyday or you will not be able to finish the battle pass unless you buy tiers for cash. I have not played a single game since that update. If you don’t like it, move on and find something that makes you happy instead of circle jerking about how much you hate it. The only way it will change is if people stop paying for it. Words without action mean nothing. Like I said I love the experience I’m personally having with the game because I don’t take it to seriously and I have gamepass, but if you’re don’t then put your money where your mouth is and walk.
Looked like there were 4 lieutenants in the trailers for beyond light. Why did we only fight 2 of them in the campaign
Ahhhhh….you need to play the mission a bit longer, there are sporadic quests that are part of the campaign, EREMIS is not dead. Have you all faced Kridis the Dark Priestess? Kirdis is well after the Erimis fight. So I think more is coming and more stuff. We need to be patient. I saw one poster said he got through the campaign in 3 hours or so, ahhhh, no, no way…there’s more than that. I also found the leveling to be fine, if you savor the game, rather than rush through it the way I see so many players do, just to brag about there levels. Anyway, enjoy the game and be flexible.
Stasis is going to be a real joy in Trials. 🙄
