  1. So im usually pretty hard on destiny. But I have the gamepass and said why not. Smart move on their part, it takes a lot of the bitterness away and will broaden their audience. Expansion wise im enjoying it. Pvp feels a lot better than it used to. Ice powers seem kinda lame on the warlock but ill give it some more time. Love seeing new enemy types. But yeah, so far so good. VERY disappointed we still dont have crossplay but what can you do….

  2. I enjoyed the campaign honestly. Stasis feels great on a hunter and warlock. Love the sounds of stasis btw. Honestly I got what I expected and I’m happy with it. Can’t wait for the expansions to come I’m back on that grind

  3. Thank you Brian for your thoughts.
I’ll be honest, like I had mentioned in your previous video, getting through the campaigns that disappeared into the vault was fun albeit I felt forced to complete content that I already paid for, see that’s the thing I keep feeling I’m paying for a service.
I want to take my time, so that off the bat is a red flag.
With beyond light I just can’t justify paying 50 dollars for DLC AND Season.
My weapons don’t have any relevancy.
Content got deleted, for what purpose though? The story IMO I’d the strong part the lore and characters. PVP is not my thing.
So it’s concerning how they are handling the game to me, I feel forced to play at a pace I don’t like, I feel forced to keep buying more content to keep gaining access to the latest things etc.
Glad you are enjoying the game though.
I officially uninstalled until beyond light drops on sake for 20 n cos which is what I deem fair.
Back to FF XIV now that I don’t have to spend time on Destiny 2 cheers

  4. You're videos are why I started playing again since launch so keep them coming 👍
I think my wish for the game would be to push it further as an RPG. I think more skills, both active and passive, and some build diversity would really help. Some better story mission diversity would also be great hey have some brilliant mechanics raid wise but every campaign mission feels like a sprint to the end while holding a spot and holding off a few waves of enemies.

  5. Just finished watching the video, and I think one thing that needs to be considered, especially about vendor refreshes and general feedback from reddit, is to keep in mind that Destiny is changing. I think we've left the era of massive expansions that offer vendor refreshes, 40+ pieces of gear, etc., and instead, Destiny is adopting more of a seasonal model, because that is more sustainable for Bungie. With Destiny going free-to-play, Bungie doesn't really have a financial incentive to create vendor refreshes, because they can be obtained by free-to-play players. Instead, I see Bungie putting more of their creative force into the seasonal content. So I see the expansion, especially for people who bought the deluxe edition, more as a quasi-subscription, where you're signing up for a year of content being added to the game, rather than a whole bunch to do at once. And in that sense, I think that if Destiny's seasons can match what was offered in Season of Arrivals, then it would be worth it.

  6. This DLC isn’t bad, but it certainly is nothing new. The campaign was predictable gameplay wise and the general activities are incredibly standard Destiny activities. That being said imma keep playing the game as I’ve got like 3k hours over D1 and d2. I’m just kinda disappointed bungie doesn’t take any risks nor actually attempt to tell a story in a reasonable way. The last DLC that actually changed things significantly was the Taken king. This is the biggest change since then. That is way too big a gap in additions.

  7. I'm always baffled by how people think 40 dollars should mean a fully fledged new game (especially when destiny still doesnt have a subscription, so you're payin basically 60-70 for a year of content, thats cheap). Bungie has always evolved the game in parts, never fully, and seasons are for that, but reddit people twitter people want it ALL day one, and they CAN'T just take a break after a few weeks, they want stuff to play forever, they want bungie to have "new loot" but if its similar to before "it's a reskin" like Bungie can crank out new perks indefinitely. If they do new powers, new destination, a few new weapons and exotics, a great campaign with interesting bosses, they won't do the whole vendor refresh and hardcore focused stuff. There's always gonna be a part of the game with less reward than the new stuff.
The subreddit is also the worst place to understand what the community think. Unless for you the community is people grinding like zombies to play the raid day one.

  8. $50 for 1 strike and a huge new zone with tons of barren wasteland with nothing to do ? Are u serious ? I have over 760,000 kills in the past 13 months and I'm not buying this until I see enough content to justify the expense.
