Spider saying the Traveler rebuilt itself to get ready to run is what I've been guessing is going to happen. I don't exactly blame the Traveler, the Darkness is terrifying and outnumbers it with the Black Fleet. It was only able to beat them once and that required basically killing itself or going into a hibernation of sorts. I have to wonder, does it not speak with us not out of malice or cryptic desires not to interfere, but because it doesn't have any answers to give us? It doesn't know how to stop the Darkness this time and short of trying the sacrifice approach again, I think it's out of options.
