Destiny 2 Beyond Light, is it a misstep for Bungie or a stepping stone. With Destiny 2 Beyond Light the community nicknamed this expansion Destiny 3. However did Bungie make a big mistake by not delivering enough content with Beyond Light at launch and was vaulted previous Destiny 2 content a choice that won’t pay off for a few seasons? I’ll share my week 1 impresions of Destiny 2 Beyond Light and let you know where I think the game is at currently. Thanks for watching!

  2. Beyond light is the worst value ever in destiny. I don’t care how bungie spins it but 18 guns for $40 is terrible. All you get for $40 is 1 raid, 3 subclasses, 18 guns, and a 4-5ish hour long campaign. That’s more comparable to warmind than it is to foresaken or taken king. Complete rip off by bungie. And before you say this added something else, no it didn’t everything I didn’t list is free to all players.

  3. I quit after forsaken. The expansion model was trash and still is trash. Shadowkeep dropped but once again they tagged on the expansion model. Shadowkeep was worst expansion destiny has ever received imo. Still didn’t get it. And beyond light now seems even worse? I’m starting to wish. Bungie just stuck with activision. I’m not hating I just have no reason to play the game. Everytime I play it feels like I’m just grinding for nothing. I got a ps5 and crucible will be 120fps with fov slider so I’ll play for a few months free to play then but I’m just waiting until they either scrap destiny 2 and just make a destiny 3 or make a HUGE quality of life update that fixes all of the confusion when a new player who hasn’t played for awhile jumps back in. Destiny 1 was never this confusing god

  4. Kind of sucked coming back to the game and my guardian is at 1050 but the story progression get halted because I start getting one shotted and then I go run strikes but regular vanguard playlist is 1100 power level so I'm just getting steam rolled trying to farm gear. Is there an easier way to get gear?

  5. My biggest issue is paying for a dlc when we lose content. It doesn't feel like a good trade. For a game with lots of content, it doesn't have much. It's incredibly inefficient with its content. How many long hallways do I run along that have no purpose. How many areas are pointless. For every step forward, they take a step backwards. The game is mindless. Kill 10 enemies, then go here, press button. It's not rewarding, not just in loot, but satisfaction

  6. Im hearing its 1 of the worst content drops in D2 history, and that sucks. Hardcore D2 players need more content, not just reskins. I say end Destiny in 2022, and scrap the engine and start over. If you have everyday players saying its bad, its bad.

  7. No DTS, but it'll have to do. I've also lapsed for probably half a year now, but always was a solo queue PvP player anyway…

Also lol what was the teabagging at the end for!

  8. I love everything added in this expansion so much. But it just doesn’t make up for what was lost. I lost almost every one of my favorite weapons and they didn’t add a single equivalent to any of them. I feel like I can’t play the way I want to anymore.

  9. Well seeing that Beyond Light was free with game pass I have no remorse what so ever. Also I never paid a penny for D2 because of what a horrible launch game it was in my opinion. But yeah I feel bad for people who had to pay $40 bucks in all honesty.

  10. in my Opinion Beyond Light wasn't meant to be the next Taken King. I think of it as Destiny 3. Bungie hit the Reset button and were paying a new game. it's like the Destiny 1 launch all over again. I'm enjoying it for now, but next Expansion better be big.

  11. im pretty disappointed by it. As someone who started playing again this year since december of 2017 im disappointed. From april to now is when i was in love again, but they removed a lot of content and made the previous two i paid for (shadowkeep and forsaken) obsolete. Think I'm done with the game again for some time

  12. I want to get back into the game but it just feels like such a big step to get back into it. I do still miss the more adventurous and mysterious artistic direction of D1. I think I will give it another shot when my Xbox Series X arrives. Already got Gamepass so I'm ready to go for this expansion.

  13. Destiny 2 Beyond Light has become a Joke of itself, now it's a slow death for the Game. Reminds me a bit of ANTHEM…sad to see, because Destiny 2 had SO MUCH MORE POTENTIAL and used so little of it.
Vaulting some Content, in order to make Stuff better to handle for Bungo is so F*ckd up because all Players once paid for that Content.
Sunsetting is the same Thing, just for Weapons and named differently.

It is really sad to see how Bungie has changed since the Days of Halo, alone and with Microsoft. They once were great in telling a good Story with good Content and Level-Design and nowadays it's like WoW as a Shooter…
