No Destiny 3, instead Bungie is going to release 3 more fall expansions for Destiny 2. Beyond Light, The Witch Queen, and Lightfall. Today we’re taking a look at what we can expect to see for the future of Destiny and more specifically, Destiny 2. Bungie dropped some massive news in their reveal stream on the 9th and the future of Destiny looks promising, but as always with Bungie, we must always be cautious.

  1. In all honesty if it weren’t for an objective, who all really patrols the four planets going away? Cause imo i glad to see Titan and mercury going away just wish they did more io and Mars

  2. The only reason i have stayed around for Destiny news is because of its epic music and amazing artwork. Europa looks incredible, but I am highly skeptical about them removing so much stuff.

Don't get hyped. Instead get informed. I have been burned too many times to feel hyped about expansion releases. It is nice that they are bringing back old locations, but I just don't think it adds as much value here as much of the community thinks. Instead, I see it as a repeat of this year's cycle of selling us back the stuff we already had. You can already see this happening with weapon sunsetting and Bungie reissuing the same guns with the exact same perks but at a higher light level cap. I for one will be playing less this year. There are other games that draw my attention.

Don't preorder if you don't have to. Seems like everyone watched a good trailer and immediately forgot what a mess the last season was.

  3. I think Champions are way better evolution of enemies and if they just let us unlock the perks to stop them intrinsically, it won't really be an issue.

  4. I'm feeling a little d1 magic again. Hopefully beyond light can fully capture the d1 magic. I want deep and mysterious lore. A compelling plot and villain. And some great new gameplay. Also guardian are way to op in d2 nothing feels threatening ir scary like in d1. Also please old artstyle.

  5. I'm not getting my hopes up, For destiny 2 to even reach the 3rd expansion in 2022 they need to nail the upcoming fall one and give a reason for people to buy the others. Hopefully when the release of the next-gen consoles happen they use the better hardware to reduce loading times, other issues, etc

  6. i dont really care if the f2p player base is mad if they lose content, the game was always pay 2 play, d1 was like that and d2 is even more so. vet d1 players know how it is if you dont buy the big fall expansion. just like w d1 dark below, house of wolves, taken king, and rise of iron. yes you lose out on a bunch of content, again its pay 2 play, it always has been

  7. Okay, I can’t be the only one who is really disappointed we aren’t fighting some form of the darkness by now, even though the pyramids are right at our door step, and are instead getting EVEN MORE reskins from already existing enemy races that have been used to death. Beyond Light seems like a pretty average revenge plot against the traveler and I’m sure bungie could have focused on more interesting storylines, like the pyramids, you know, the big bads currently trying to destroy us. But it seems like the climax of the pyramid storyline will be with Lightfall another 3 September’s away, which is the only exspansion of the three I’m looking forward to and really the only interesting storyline currently happening in the game now. I mean c’mon, I wait three years just to wait another three years to fight these guys even though they have already entered the solar system and are trying to capture entire planets. I used to love this game, it used to be my main and it’s a little sad the road it’s going down with cheaters and very low content output and as I’ve said, uninteresting storylines. If you ask me, bungie needs to set their priorities straight and not just say “we’re listening”

  8. I see they are back to their old tactics of gatekeeping old content, but much worse this time by actually removing it. This doesn't make me want to continue playing at all. At least in D1 you could still play the old stuff in year 2. Get whatever you didn't have yet, or experience, and then brought it all back in AOT while actually adding a few new nice touches.
