Destiny 2: Beyond Light’s story and lore have hit the major marks of a decent expansion but the villains in Beyond Light felt like they needed some help, including both Eramis and the Darkness.

  1. from what exo stranger said the power of darkness can corrupt beings by using their obsession and selfish desires with that in mind when Eramis obtained the power of stasis that very power turned her into what the darkness wanted and when the guardian fought she was so focus on her obsession with the traveler and her desire for revenge that she lost control and was frozen

  2. I can't believe segira was killed off camera. What a piece of shit. Its an amazing expansion, but to destroy the planets, their vendors, AND SAGIRA in a book is kinda messed up.

The cutscenes in this game are a movie, id like it to be longer

  3. are Iliksni life spans infinite so long as they have ether? human life span tripled in the golden age, and the whirlwind happened before the golden age. the golden age was ?,??? years ago? and veriks and erimes remember it? they were there? either the golden age was not so long ago or maybe our traveler and their great machine aren't one and the same?

  4. Bray's family first please, and then eramis with the nine. Variks actually mention eramis was "consulting" with the nine, if you stay near variks long enough he would talk about it.

  5. Awoken Female VA is apparently still Grey Delisle/Griffin (i made my main an awoken in part because i love her voice) tho she does sound remarkably different in the cutscenes, like she's playing an older, more-weathered version of our guardian

  6. Maybe the Darkness is the opposite of the Light in that regard. It doesn’t restrict or ask anything of you. No one is special or chosen. It just gives power to everyone who wants it, and lets our darker natures destroy ourselves.

As a reference, the Darkness is akin to the Outsider of the Dishonored series.

  7. Bungie really needs to hire you as a narrator to explain these type of things in game to fill in the gaps because them doing this half ass storytelling with minimal dialogue is also hurting the game

  8. You know they say hindsight 20/20 and then a few years from now looking back I really feel like you're going to have a profound impact on this game and how they tell the story this kind of content is only going to make bungie's content better and that's fucking beautiful well done byf

  9. I'd like to adress the point about Dark Powers corrupting. I do think Beyond Light does have a gameplay element for that and this is us going from shard to shard and getting used to using Stasis. Each time we get stasis empower you also see the dark shadows encroaching on your screen. You are being tempted and you cannot give in.
While this doesn't alleviate all your concerns/points I think it is important to point that out. We didn't just walk out there and immediately got Stasis handed to us like previous light subclasses.

  10. The human male voice actor wasn't so different, it was a raspy Dark Knight Batman voice esthetic but turned up from before. For me it was noticeable, I didn't know that the voice acters/actresses was different so I can see people noticing it and not liking the change.

  11. IK nobody cares but im currently taking latin and Eramis is pronounced nearly the same as the latin verb eramus which is the imperfect active indicative form of sum and it means were, there is probably no connection here but it me with your thoughts

  12. Honestly that idea of loosing control with the power and say the mission where your supposed to get a bunch of fallen off world and then you begin to freak out and say destroy the ship! That would’ve been a good set up, another thing is when I started I had the smallest feeling that perhaps our ghost would leave us(but then I remembered the whole game) but it’s that idea that using the darkness would drive a huge wedge between you and your ghost and would show a problem with using the darkness. My favourite moments were absolutely when our ghost got scared and worried and tried to convince us not to use it. But it is those moments and the idea that if you walk the road of darkness you’ll leave the one who was always by your side. It’s things like that which build the story
