Since the launch of Beyond Light, the Darkness has been at the forefront of Destiny 2, both in the narrative, but even more so in the gameplay. When Beyond Light debuted, it brought the first-ever Darkness element, Stasis, into the game. A few weeks later, things got even crazier when Luke Smith himself confirmed that there will be more Darkness subclasses to come. So that begs the question: what will be the NEXT set of Darkness subclasses that get added to the game, presumably in The Witch Queen? As it stands, there are a TON of in-game and lore hints as to what this next Darkness element will be… the power of CORRUPTION.
In this video, I’m going to explain how I would design the next set of Darkness subclasses coming to the game in the Witch Queen. We’re going to discuss how Corruption as a unique element would function, and we will then discuss how Hunter, Titan, and Warlock Corruption subclasses would be designed with customizable Aspects and Fragments. Having Bungie admitting designing Stasis too strong on launch, it's hard to believe they are aiming at balanced for this subclass.. 🙁

I really really hope the story in the witch queen is mainly about savathun and not getting the corruption it should be a side story . I feel like the beyond light story was about getting stasis and not about killing eramis and thats why that story was kind of a let down

Dope, that leaves one more darkness of class and if the first two were inspired by Exo stranger and Eris Morn.. I would love to see you do one based on the Drifter and his power to controlled the Taken. Whisper of the worm and Witherhoard inspired.

This looks terrific and all but it just seems like this could be made into another excuse to get mad at bungie when this doesnt happen. After all, the new subclass is likely set into stone and in development.

If you invert light subclasses you get navy(stasis) green(poison) and red(magnetic) and if dark is opposite light then:(using my 1B IQ logic):
Ice opposite fire (which has happened)
Poison (which gives out damage) must be opposite to void (which gives in health(devour or invis)
And then magnetic because inverted blue is red, electricity is when electrons have no where to go, magnetism is when electrons have somewhere to go it makes sense .it’s a reach but if you look in the lore it makes a lot of sense

I loved the titans, primarily as a titan main I understand the pain of a non ranged one and done super that doesn't put the player in major danger (aka not many could take out a nova or blade barrage mid cast but the projectiles atleast can launch. By launching yourself you can die and do completely nothing but waste a super
