Beyond Light Is in my opinion The Next Step For Destiny 2, but is it a baby step? Is it a giant leap? Or Does it still cause issues? I think it’s still Destiny and doesn’t go overboard in too many departments, but man does this feel like the correct direction to take the game from the story with Eramis, Variks, Eris, Drifter, Elsie or the Stranger, Clovis, and way way more! This feels like the Destiny universe is coming together and maybe finishing a story for all of us?! We will need to see more with Stasis, but for now this dlc has blown me away, just don’t play PVP.

This is made on Day 2, I think that this dlc will hopefully age well, we haven't even seen the raid yet either, maybe I was too fast to call it pretty good, but I genuinely am having a great time!
I know its better to have a small pool of usable weapons but that's the thing, we have a massive pool of unusable weapons in beyond light, all planets that arent Europa/cosmodrome have sunset weapons

We better have a ton of exotics revealed soon because there is so little, it was a huge mistake on bungie's part not giving us a good taste at what's the to come, because all I have is the new grenade launcher which isnt worthy of being called an exotic

Hard because of level gap isn’t really hard tho…? I wish destiny had a campaign like halo. With an open world to explore after. I literally went through the same passage like 8 times or more to get to a different boss in the same area as the one before it.

I love this DLC but heres my problem though, where is my loot? I've only found about 5-6 new legendary/exotic weapons is there something I'm doing wrong?? send assistance??
I really enjoyed the campaign, but I’m afraid it’s not gonna be the most exciting after the raid considering they hardly added new strikes, crucible maps, gambit maps, etc. I know that the new season activity will be coming, but still, looks boring to be playing the same core game modes on the same maps with almost the exact same lootpool.
Well I played Destiny 2 since the launch of Forsaken and it was the very first time I felt like there was no incentive to play the game at all.
Even Shadowkeep which was arguably worst than BL (I personally think it was way better) felt less empty, I don’t remember being completely bored of the game 3 days in.
Even the campain felt extremely similar but way smaller than Forsaken’s. I genuinely took all the time I could to appreciate the « « difficult » » campain (I killed every single enemy in my path, explored the places) but still found it boring, the fact that I got it easily done while being severely underleved didn’t help.
The Stasis feels stupid, it doesn’t explain anything about the darkness, it’s literally juste another subclass that’s currently broken because Bungie doesn’t playtest sh*t.
And the way we obtain it is a f*cking joke, like the darkness just gives it away like that? And since the Exo Stranger says that we can control it without consequences then we can?
The lootpool is a massive joke, it’s the exact same weapons from the previous season with ugly europa weapons and a D1 legendary? If would’ve been ok if they didn’t take out literally 3/4 of the game.
Pvp is a nightmare, they made it so gunfights are more rare than a week of trials without cheaters.
The raid might be a redeeming factor but at this point I’m not even sure I even want to reinstall Destiny to grind my to 1230 to even try the raid.
And the fact that now most people are waiting for the season to start to think about if this was worth or not is just stupidly sad.
How the hell did they think that making sunsetted pinnacles and rituals purchasable was a good idea? People grinded out of their mind for them and they just give them out like that? (Ascendant shards are a joke to farm if you have 2 working braincells) Either keep them as quests drop so people actually have to work for them or completely remove them.
No vendor refresh but at this point, I don’t even care about it.
Ugly reskinned armor sets from all core activities.
The ritual weapon is just a worst Beloved with a way to turn it into a Pve weapon (Snipers in pve lol).
Not to mention the tons of issues that came with this dlc like massive fps drops, the reworked lighting that make some older parts of the game a shitshow, etc.
In the first time in my short destiny career I will not preorder the next major expansion, I’m not even sure that I’ll continue playing after the raid drops (if it’s not a massive joke).
The thing is, I loved Destiny with Forsaken so I might be hoping for way too much and I really want the game to thrive but Bungie really seems like they only care about how much income they get. And for the love of god, I hope they stop with the seasonal model and actually work on making better dlcs.
I just want to like Destiny the way I enjoyed it back then.

I think bungo kinda dropped the ball on this one so far. The game feels kind of hollow outside of exploring europa. Just hoping the raid can pull it back. Although I guess we haven't seen all the other content yet, but so far really disappointed with the DLC it looked so promising. Sadge.
what about 40 dollars for 1… 1 STRIKE and a short story that has the gameplay of every single mission/adventure mussion we had 20 times before "commendable" ? this is barely enough content for a free update and they have the dignity to charge 40 dollars for it.

This game ONLY went downhill after the release of crown of sorrows. Season of Opulence was the best season we have ever had and sadly the last good one.
Its a fact, there is nothing commendable about scamming gamers out of their money with false promises.
and this is quite frankly whats happening here, they claim to have made a new step into the right direction with destiny, creating a new era while basically reskinning mars with a bit more blue colour and fog, 1 new strike, removing 4 planets, removing 5 raids instead of expanding on them.
you can clearly see that there was no thought process in removing the planets at all, because of a useless planet like nessus being still in the game.
without the menagerie nessus has no barge, which already deems it absolutely useless and yet they still keep it in the game.
dont support this company, they have become as greedy as activision and EA.

Well you see, when there are giant mechs that will insta bang you between 1050 and 1149 and you also can't fight back, it makes for a hilarious time during the first grind and playthrough of the story. If you make a left into the first entrance to cadmus ridge you have 50% of seeing instant fear and death. The other 50% is a nice calm ride through the god damn frozen tundra.
I like everything besides the titan stasis super and the campaign. Campaign was probably the weakest out all the fall expansions

100% agree this is a team shooter meant to be played with a team. However, I disagree that having something gated behind a solo activity is a bad thing. And honestly, we don't have quests for armor like we do weapons.
I think that the dlc is great. But, I dont like how they gave basically nothing to free to play players like me. You basicially have to buy beyond light in order to have a fun experience in the game now if u've done most the stuff pervious in the game. All you get without getting beyond light is a mission for the weapon Adored and thats about it. Overall I just wish they added more into this dlc for the free to play players

I understand that bungie need to make their money somewhere but am i the only one who thinks this should have been a free expansion? the only reason i think this is because it has to do with the progressing of the story of the light and the darkness. like isn't that like really important and shouldn't be locked behind a paywall for free to play players?

In my opinion on this Expantion, the campaign was fun and entertaining, Even I died couple of times at the Technorat Boss. And about the sniper Adored I'm not complaining (mainly because I never got Beloved). And the only thing that annoyed me was the leveling, when I was 1076 in Arrivals I felt relaxed. But, resetting You to 1050 and re-grind to 1260 really Made my blood boil. It was frustrating to be honest. Honestly I enjoyed the expantion, and I hope this gets better in the future. Still pissed about the leveling though…
The thing that annoys me is that the lighting in some destinations, like Nessus for example, seems off when playing with HDR turned on. Also, we really need a vendor refresh.

I am both hating this dlc and liking it! I feel cheated on the price with content. I have issues with everything with the cosmodrome! They seriously ripped on us with that. In the divide where during the Rise of Iron dlc in D1 the whole wall was like destroyed but it’s like that never happened now! Which pisses me off entirely. With Europa tho, it’s amazing and I will enjoy playing there from now on. I feel like the story was rushed and not as in-depth as it should have been for the price. I feel cheated and robbed. Certainly not worth the money at all. Maybe $20 would be fair. I’m extremely disappointed in bungie for how they have treated us and their game. I’m on the negative side of this and I have a right to be as I’ve been a supporter since halo ce when I was a kid. So for them to charge us $50 on an EXPANSION that has less story than forsaken and a complete rip and no effort at all cosmodrome, I feel cheated and I want my money back. And to top that off bungie has no where where you can contact them. Only reason I am liking it is because stasis feels amazing and the story for how little it was, is amazing. I rate this expansion 4/10. And this will be the last expansion I buy from bungie. They clearly don’t value veteran players nor our time or money invested into them. So they won’t get anymore from me.
You're not taking into account the gear that's been forcibly retired – the loot has been decimated – not what you want in a looter shooter.

im genuinely convinced im the only person in my clan and possibly in the entire pc playerbase who hasnt experienced any major bugs yet.
There's definitely stuff to complain about. The grind is pretty much the same. There's not a shit ton of new loot. But on the other hand the story was pretty decent, I like what they did with the new exotics. And while there's not a lot of new loot, it's all very very good. The soundtrack is incredible, loading times are faster, we still have a raid, the start of the season of the hunt, and secrets that both of those will open up. I do get some of the negative feedback, but they don't have the same money and support they did when they made Forsaken. They're working from home. And 90% of the people bitching about this always come back. I get not liking it, but continuing to say this for every expansion and still playing is your own fault lmao.

My main issue with the number of weapons released, is just that certain weapons are under represented, while others are too saturated. Like, there is currently no legendary arc sniper that goes over 1060 power, and only one legendary scout rifle in the energy slot that hasn't been sunset. They should have looked at these things and made those new weapons first, instead of giving me another new kinetic pulse after I just got one last season that I could farm the hell out of
