I think Think Quaria was supposed to be one of the oldest Vex Hydras made specifically to study the Hive. But was Taken by Oryx.
Quria survived the Taken king DLC and was used by savathun to command the Taken with also the bonus of directing the vex, since it was originally a vex hydra.
