I just got this on my 3rd completion and I'm stoked. It's as good as it sounds, and makes gambit wins free. I was able to kill 3 opponents on opposite corners of the map with 1 shot. I was the only one I've seen in 3 raids to have it drop, so it is likely somewhere in the 3-6% drop chance range.
Start prepping to run the raid if you haven't. This is worth the grind.

Luckily this dropped my first ever comp,etiolated…unlike some raid exotics that took about a year to drop for me
People that say this is better than GHorn never had a GHorn.
But it is fun. I guess it's better in PvP? But the lock on is kind of slow, so I am not even sure about that.

If you want to have some very annoying fun, use khepri’s sting (hunter exotic) with it- it’s especially annoying in elimination/survival, and to push it to its limits, that mercury map where Point B in control has a curved wall in between it and heavy spawn, and is on a raised platform (will 100% edit this and add the name of the map)

Comparing a D1 launcher that isn't even in D2 (yet) with a D2 launcher that had what..? 2 nerfs?
